Do you NEED nutrients to grow cannabis?

Say if you were to try and grow a feminized auto strain outdoors, would you NEED nutrients for it to bud? If so what kind of yields would you expect to get with a plant that averages 250g per plant?

Welcome to RIU, and the wonderful world of cultivating the world's most misunderstood and feared medicines!!!

The only 'advice' I can give you or anyone is to read and learn and then apply what you have read and learned to your garden and you cannot fail. Anyways, remember the search tool is your friend...Lots of folks here willing to help a new farmer get up and growing. But at the end of the day your grow will be only as good as the knowledge and work you put into it.

It is always great to ask questions but do not take anyone's advice or opinions and follow blindly. Do your own research, you will be much happier knowing you have done it for yourself and by yourself. The first buzz you get from your own budz...is by far the BEST high you will ever have!

Do a search using your current question as the keyword(s) and ZOOOM!! Like Wonka's Great Glass Elevator…off you go to tons of threads answering all your questions. Read all the Newbie Central stickies and learn…

After that you are a seasoned vet. Because to soak up all that information and sift through it, is going to take time. You will likely finish your first grow by then. Viola! grow complete and education well under way.

Indoor or outdoor, plants need nutrients to stay healthy and produce maximum harvest. Autos are no exception. When and how much nutes to give is the question you probably should be asking.

Outdoors in most soils the only real necessary addition is Nitrogen. Magnesium in the form of Epsom salts is good for root growth and other photosynthesis processes.
Micro nutes are almost all found in ready supply in ordinary soils.
As to yield...Its my expert opinion you'll be experiencing about a pound of dank.

Lot's of option from orgasmic or is it organic? Or regular chem nutes. Lot's of opinions and good choices. I use promix in 5 gal buckets. Then I use Peters water soluble ferts to water with. I also add calmag plus each time. The amounts depend on growth stage and rate which depends on many things. I'm blasting 4 plants now with 700 Watts of cobs in ~11 sq ft. I feed them each watering. I'm running 1 Bog lsd and 1 Strawberry amnesia. Also 2 timewreck. Second week of bloom and very little stretch compared to less light. Also pH the final to 6 give or take. EC of ferts 1.3 to 1.6. The Strawberry doesn't need as much. Watch for tip burn. I learned all this shit here. Also the colas you can use for a club with that much light a foot away. Rocks.

My answer to the op is yes. Plants need food. Even if you buy good soil they will need food, organic or synthetic. Some people make "super soil" and ammend the hell out of their dirt so you dont have to add food along the way, but they usually have to add something still. Some people do wierd things like use their own pee, some use chicken poop, some make teas out of bananas and earthworm castings and sugar. Theres many feeding options to consider but those plants need something to eat.

I think you are better as Beetlejuice. Stallone makes me think you're mushmouthed and have Boxer's Brain. Not fitting. You're much more wily.

Poultry manure isn't weird. It's pretty common, especially in large scale agriculture in places like Pennsylvania. I use bat guano, bone meal, blood meal, and vegetable/fruit/flower food made from blood, meat, bone, wheat middlings, feather meal, a few other ferts, and a slew of Rhizobacillus.
