how can you come to the conclusion that their isnt one?
Coming to a definite conclusion either way is absurd. But the logical conclusion (notice the omission of the word definite) is that their isn't one. I think this is what ThE sAtIvA hIgH meant. As in, "there definitely is a higher power" is definitely an incorrect statement.

Please correct me if I'm wrong.

the way i see it is no matter how much it makes sense doesnt mean its true. at one point they wer 100% sure black holes didnt exist, but they were 100% wrong even tho black holes were illogical as fuck. not sayin that means there is a higher power im sayin nobody on this earth knows what is goin on no matter how much you think you know.

its not meant to be taken word for word , its meant to be used as a rough guide open for interpretation you haven't given enough choices this is a loaded poll

I had to choose "I agree with some of it". How could any sane person not agree with some of it?

Luke 6:31 Do to others as you would have them do to you. <--- anyone disagree with that? According to the poll, most people think that statement is full of shit.

the op question is vague.

do you believe the bible? (well sorta, some of it i can relate to, like heisenberg said, statements like "if you have everything but love, you have nothing"

do you belive in the bible (no, i dont think its the word of god, its written by man, though if , god is love, then i think some parts might be inspired by god (forgive others as you would have them forgive you)
but only if god is love, but on the other hand.

i think humans are perfectly capable of thinking up stuff like that on their own, needing no divine assistance to recognize that without love, we are fucked.
it kinda lessens us, thinking we need some god to tell us everything and boss us around.
i think the bible is a deeply flawed collection of stories.

but worth a read. (can skip over most of the stuff unless you are very interested in jewish genealogy))

Then why the FUCK don't people use it that way? Most silly Christians that I know think that the Bible was written by God.....BY GOD? He just waltzed right in, wrote up 80 different versions, and had it sent to the printing press.

Most of these are FABLES, nothing more, nothing less. People that put too much faith in the Bible are believing in MEN, not a God.

Carbon-14 has a half-life of 5,730 years

Potassium–argon dating has a reach of 1.25 billion years

Chronometric dates are not necessarily exact dates, and they are often expressed as a range.

...thanks. I wonder if there would be any reason to get exited if some day that ends up approximating 13.7 billion. Interesting to see if it did.

no because there are different versions and translations and books written by diffferent people, i thought God spoke a kind of jacobean english when i was a kid, allthough as ive got older i sometimes think he was a bit of a chav, you know what i mean, "this is my son with whom i am well pleased". If you believed the bible word for word you would go mad because it contradicts itself all the time, however this is the beauty of it, cranks can use it selectively to prove wharever they want. i think we have alien or angelic genes in us from those Nephilim guys that shagged the daughters of men, who's prodgeny were giants and mighty men, cleverer than the neanderthals and the rest ,this is our souls
