I do a mix of both
some I veg 24/0 some 12/12 from start
I love a variety.
Got 5 grows currently going and just finished harvesting my last plant from my first gro this morning. YAY

I keep a mix of sizes (and strains) as well, but I veg everything at least a little.

hi, my two cents, 24hrs for moms clones get 24 hrs for a week - 10 days and then straight into 12/12. From seed I have done 18/6, the 24 hr is for the grow I am starting now.

18/6 unti flower then 12/12. never fails. 24hrs. of dark before the switch, hairs in 2 days.

my plant is big enough so i went from 24/0 to 10/14 5 days ago, would a 24hr dark period really help it flower quicker?

very true mate. But plant enough seeds and flower them from the moment they sprout. The number of plants would make up for the size, and if in a hurry to get a crop it does cut all the veg time. Have done it myself 12-12 from seed but because of yield,wont be doing it again.

I dont switch mine!!!! i rock 20/4 with auto Dwarfs. Works well for me. I only have 5' from ground to ceiling so height is problematic.

as long as you wish 2 weeks - 9 months
the longer the sweeter, just after she is a year old she looses her juice.

I do 24/0 for 3-4 weeks then 18/6 for another 3-4 and then flower time
