I've read the pros and cons of feminized seeds but I humbly come before you ganja masters for the real deal. Do I spend the money or just throw the bad boys out when the show their real motive?

i love fems seeds if ur growing for yeild and to sell i say fems the way to go but if u want to make ur own seeds and crosses i say go with regs, i have had great results with fems seeds out of a 100 only like 4 hermis so thats not that bad

i rock fems all the time too. even big worm will have to admit the chance at getting a herm when stressed is there  BUT as long as you keep your shit together and keep a good eye on it your good to go.

in august i had temps hit 90+ on a couple days. only things that hermed were femmed seed. and only 2/6 hermed of that strain. i had a buncha regs that didn't herm but I've also had regs herm to so whatever.

basically I've never got a chick with a dick unless i deserved it! so keep your environment right and fems will be good to go. a lot of cool crosses are fem only too so sometimes you just gotta run fem out of necessity.

The only difference in feminized seeds and regular seeds is NO MALES IN FEMINIZED SEEDS.
Hermie chances are the exact same whether it is feminized or regular.
Hermie is a trait of Marijuana, not a seed.

I believe that. But it makes me wonder why so many bean producers take a militant stance about never making fems, when it could add so much to their sales.

Because people like subcool like ti act like their methods are much better then someone who makes fem seeds when in reality I've probably seen and heard of more hermies coming from tga's regular beans then a lot of other breeders fem's..

reg pros. were not chemically treated. may be better genetics . only noticed from pro growers . cons 45 % of them will be male . female pros 99.9 % of them will pop female no need to throw half the plants away. cons genetics may be harmed from chemical treatment making it female. most of the time unless your a pro grower with years of experience you will not notice any difference in quality. but there is a difference. unless you have 20 grand invested in equipment I would suggest the fem . treated . also reg are lot less costly then female. butt half the reg are garbage. but you can buy a kit to treat the reg beans your self. to make them female .

Making a fem'ed bean do nothing to effect whether or not that plant will throw balls or not..
If the mother plant was stable, the fem'ed plants from it will be just as stable ..
If the mother was unstable then naturally her offspring will also be unstable ..

So basically shit in, shit out.. no matter if it's regular seeds or feminized..

1st i dont belive that bean comin from a plant that was treated with c/s or other chems would affect the genetics of seeds.

2nd i read an article in high times where they did a side by side with some ak reg vs fem and fem out performed the regs lol

As stated , you have the same odds to get hermi from fem seed than get hermi from reg seed. the difference between both is price. that's it.

Femenized all the way. You save space, time, work and everything else with just a light jump in price. From what I've seen most breeders that sell regs and fems usually sell them in a 2/1 ratio. You get twice as many regs as fems. With a slight price increase for fems. Buuuttttt buying fems takes out all of the guesswork. If you're an indoor person it's convenient for saving space and work. You can pack your room/tent and not have to worry about sexing, cloning removing males and stuff like that.
Outdoors it's the same the same thing. Especially if you're guerrilla growing. You'll be a nervous wreck come flowering time when you're wondering if the males are gonna drop balls while I'm not there. What if the males have dropped balls already?
That time in between visits will gnaw at you.
It's also better imo when looking for a mother. Lets say you grab a 10 pack of regs. With the 50/50 ratio you're going to get 5 females. With a 10 pack of fems you're getting 10 females to pick and chose from. It may cost double for the fems but in the long run it pays off because time is $ It's a long term investment.
