DMT... aliens or god? What is the 'presence'

Have you had much DMT?
WHO FUCKING CARES?

That's like saying; "You never eaten pure fat everyday for a year, so you don't know how it will affect you."

While I might not have first hand experience eating lard everyday, we've certainly documented how super high fat diets affect the body. You will get fat, very unhealthy, and most likely die from a medical condition.

If first hand experience is the only way to know something, why do you believe Australia exists? Have you been there? What about Ghana? By your own logic, how come you haven't tried shooting yourself in the face yet? Anyone who hasn't tried shooting themselves in the face, would have no basis for claiming they know what happens when one is shot in the face, right? Hell, maybe you won't die, and you'll meet an alien...or god!

Anyway, back to the point at hand; taking DMT will make you trip out - it's PSYCHOACTIVE and causes HALLUCINATIONS.

Do you understand the words I'm using? HALLUCINATIONS.... meaning... NOT REAL.....

DMT acts as a trace amine/neurotransmitter; and trace Amines can affect human cognition, and have been implicated in causing schizophrenia and depression as well, E.G. mental disorders! Are those caused by aliens or god, because it's the same fucking chemical reaction happening inside your brain.

This notion that if you've never tried something means you're unqualified to comment on it is just dumb, consider for a moment if you carried that over to any other aspect of life, that would mean, according to you, geologists are unqualified to talk about magma because they've never been in a volcano, astronomers are unqualified to talk about space or anything outside of the Earth because they've never been there to experience it for themselves...

You don't have to have taken DMT to understand it or be qualified to talk about it

and similarly, as you illustrate, just because you may have taken DMT doesn't make you some kind of an expert

Munchies have nothing to do with aliens, how much DMT have you taken in the past because imo you really cant comment on the subject!

Ah, so you're the authority on DMT now?

I can, and i did, prove me wrong with your critical thinking!

You claimed that something will ALWAYS mystify us. If you need explanation of why universal claims are generally wrong, then I'm not going to teach you the basics of rational thinking.

Socratic method of argument should remain in school debates, who's talking about weed, the thread is about what the presence is relating to DMT, for people whom have taken DMT to discuss this particular alien aspect of the molecule, you cant put weed in the same sentence as DMT when your talking about encounters like these,
If you don't understand that a unique experience in not inherently meaningful, then you have to be missing a few things. Weed is relevant because the munchies are unique to it, much like you claim some aspects of DMT are unique to it. So far, your reason as to why DMT is special is "Because DMT". That's pretty circular.

NO OTHER DRUG COMES WITH A PRESENCE LIKE DMT USERS EXPERIENCE, we are not talking bout weed, acid, mescaline ect, some of them may have given similar experiences to some people a few times granted, but DMT is clearly another level.

A special reaction to a specific chemical is pretty normal. In fact, it's a vital part of modern medicine.
The red is my responses.

Edit: Holy shit! I just realized this guy actually said the Socratic method has no place in anyone's everyday life; only in high school debates. Good to know you feel there is no place for being required to defend your ideas logically.

LOL - you're arguments are so inane..

DMT is a unique drug.
DMT produces effects that are different than any other drug.
One of the unique effects of DMT is feeling something like a presence.
Therefore; GOD/Aliens.

Can you not see how fucking stupid your argument is, and why no one is giving you the time of day? Let me continue...

Cocaine is a unique drug.

Cocaine produces effects that are different than any other drug.
One of the unique effects of Cocaine is feeling a sense of Bravado, or heightened self confidence.
Therefore; GOD/Aliens.

Ecstasy is a unique drug.
Ecstasy produces effects that are different than any other drug.
One of the unique effects of Estasy is feeling a closeness to people and Euphoria.
Therefore; GOD/ Aliens.

Mushrooms are a unique drug.
Mushrooms produce effects that are different than any other drug.
One of the unique effects of Mushrooms is feeling like you are inside a painting or alternate reality.
Therefore; GOD/Aliens.

All of these premises and conclusions do not logically follow, including your premises and conclusion about DMT.

It's not either 'god' or 'aliens' - there is a plethora of other phenomenon it could be attributed to.
How can YOU say its not god or aliens! where's your research! how much DMT have you consumed????

I myself hit deems and its not what it should be..and it was made by me...I just get color and mind fucks...ocassionaly I get what I call 'warping'..where a plane of geometric patterns bends in a dark background..that's about all..but if I ever shit myself, and don't see aliens..ima be pissed.
Sounds like you need to hit more ,and keep hitting it until even the fact that you are a human being doesn't make sence!
delivery methods make all the difference as does keeping it down a while, i find a socket filled with steel wool on top of any bottle works best for me!

You don't need DMT to feel a presence. You just need a powerful electromagnet and a helmet. It's called altering the brain, you know, the organ that provides you with every stimuli you experience?
however the only psychedelic known to occur naturally in the brain is DMT,in fact its in all mammals tested so far i think!

have you ever taken DMT? sorry if i sound repetitive!

I seen my friend wrestling with a snake in a hot tub while on .5mg of raw lsd..I blinked and it was him just holding a kids snorkle used for swimming...is the snake an alien or god? Should we tithe cobras or scuba masters?
that's just a trip mate, try DMT its a lot better/different and you will see aliens

OP is one big ball of logical fallacies.
lol

Religious people crack me up, it's like watching adults insist fairy tales are real.

We smoke weed to get a mental affect. DMT is taken to get a mental affect. Praying gives a mental affect. Everything we experience is in our brain. There's an interesting paradox that says that for all we know, we're only brains sitting in jars of chemicals.

As high as we like to keep our brains, it's still a good idea to keep our feet on the ground. When you close your eyes, or when you take DMT, you are not communicating with something that isn't on Earth.

no,no,no,no. you have no exerience of DMT so why debate the issue? you can read and read but till you mess with it you have no business commenting fool. i've had all of them in abundance ,there nothing like DMT

Doing DMT does not make you a neuroscientist or an expert on brain functions. You are a scientific layman trying to describe a subjective experience as a supernatural phenomenon.

Have you been to Australia? How do you know it exists if you've never been there?

Doing DMT and discussing the presence is the point of THIS thread , sorry but you have no business commenting because yes, you need to have partaken in order to debate it, for instance a virgin cant really tell you what sex is like ,or debate the feeling, they can assume/guess/read about it but their theories are wank.

The burden of proof lies on the person making the claim, (YOU) not the person rejecting the claim (EVERYONE ELSE WHO HAS A BRAIN). If I told you there was a teapot orbiting Pluto, but it was impossible to detect, would you believe me that it existed, or would you require evidence before committing yourself to an unjustified belief?

You are essentially telling us that an undetectable, unprovable entity is contacting you when you take a psychoactive drug. Yet, you have zero justification or evidence for believing such an obvious hallucination even exists in reality.... But what's worse is you lack the intelligence/competence to see how stupid the argument you're making really is.

however the only psychedelic known to occur naturally in the brain is DMT,in fact its in all mammals tested so far i think!
How does that correlate, in any way, shape, or form, to being contacted by aliens? It exists in our bodies, THEREFORE; aliens.... idiot...

have you ever taken DMT? sorry if i sound repetitive!
I'm not answering this question until you address some of the points already made in this thread. Does a geologist need to touch lava to know it's hot, or that it's molten rock?

that's just a trip mate, try DMT its a lot better/different and you will see aliens

lol
Even if every single person who did DMT, did feel aliens (WHICH IS PATENTLY FALSE), it doesn't mean they actually exist anymore than seeing a Leprechaun while on acid means leprechauns exist, or that when a schizofrenic person sees a loved one on fire, that the loved one is on fire. It's called PSYCHOACTIVE for a reason. It would be even weirder if you took one of the strongest drugs ever discovered and didn't have a distorted perception of reality.

Even a virgin who hasn't had sex can tell you that the feeling of an orgasm isn't a message from GOD or aliens.... idiot.

Really bad analogies, how about a virgin joining in a debate on how it feels when a lady cums on his cock!

The feeling of a skydive, bungee jump or flying a helicopter cant be described by someone whom has no experience!

I never claimed to be an expert, but out of me and you i have more experience of DMT, therefor i am an expert compared to you!

No one is debating that you FELT what you thought was aliens. We're telling you that what you felt, and what actually happened are different. It's not aliens, its all in your head.

A virgin couldn't debate with someone what it FELT like to have a 'lady cum on his cock', but he can certainly tell you the feeling doesn't come from an alien.... no sex is required to come to that conclusion. We know enough about orgasms and the human body to determine that without experiencing it first hand.

And NO, you are not an expert just because you've experienced something. Having a brain doesn't make you a neuroscientist, and doing a drug doesn't make you an expert on what's actually happening in your body, BECAUSE OF THE DRUG. You are not a Dr. or scientist, so your subjective account of aliens while being high out of your skull is worth.... FUCK ALL.

just saying !

ok,if i were a geologist i would use a thermometer ,i get what you're trying to illustrate but many people will tell you that you cant explain a dmt trip to a newby, its just summit you gotta try to believe!
now could you confirm that you experiences are limited at best?

Even if every single person who did DMT, did feel aliens (WHICH IS PATENTLY FALSE), it doesn't mean they actually exist anymore than seeing a Leprechaun while on acid means leprechauns exist, or that when a schizofrenic person sees a loved one on fire, that the loved one is on fire. I'm not knocking the experience, I'm telling you that aliens are not visiting you while you are tripping. If that is 'knocking' the experience, than so be it.

just saying !
I know you're 'just saying'. If you were doing more than 'just saying' something, you would have evidence to support your statements.... which you don't.

ok,if i were a geologist i would use a thermometer ,i get what you're trying to illustrate but many people will tell you that you cant explain a dmt trip to a newby, its just summit you gotta try to believe!
I'm not questioning the profoundness of your experience. I would bet dollars to donuts that what you felt was profound and spiritual in some way. I'm questioning the methods at which you come to your conclusion.

aliens or god is the question! not just aliens ,you are focusing on aliens, i simply said my experiences are alien!
Actually, the thread title is;

DMT... aliens or god? What is the 'presence'

You give two (2) options. Aliens OR god. Not Aliens and god, not aliens and/or god. Not something alien, ALIENS OR GOD. I can guess by your style of writing and arguments that you've never studied logic, or philosophy - but what you stated in your title is called a disjunctive syllogism. There are only two options to an OR statement. That is the precise reason I responded the way I did on my first post.

I know you like to assert things and have people take you on faith, but for fuck sakes man, we can all read the title of the thread.

You aren't a doctor or scientist either. Technically I'm more of a scientist than you since I have several degrees in scientific fields. Exactly what is your training?

Perhaps he is sensing other parts of his brain and they feel alien to him. Perhaps his brain is off in hyperspace and he is coming into contact with hyperspace life forms. Perhaps it is enhancing his natural psychic abilities and he is sensing other distant people. Maybe it is in his head. You however seem to be speaking out of total ignorance of DMT.

If science shows us nothing else, it shows us that the world is not what it seems to be. That our senses are tuned to only a small portion of reality. If I take LSD and see that everything around me is made of undulating energy, well it turns out that it is actually quite true. Everything is made of energy. The two are interchangeable. When I experience dimensions other than the regular three and time expands or contracts, well it's true. Turns out that time is fluid and there are far more than 3 dimensions.

Given the nature of the universe and perception, you can't say.. This is the way things look and that is the only true perspective. If I see the walls undulating it might be a hallucination or it might just be that space time actually does that and over time our minds learn to block it out because it is distracting.

There is no way of telling if you see things differently because of a drug, or if the drug merely allows you to see things as they actually are. Given that you can only see 2% of the electromagnetic spectrum I don't see where you know much about reality.

Now a real scientist would be curious about why people experience entities after ingesting DMT. They would not ignore subjective accounts and write them off as just the effects of a drug, the would dissect his brain to see why.
