DIY with Quantum Boards

I'd reflow the solder with a hot air gun, I've assembled double-sided PCBs with SOP28 and smaller SMT parts on with nothing more than a garden variety hot air gun.

You can be glad Stephen runs such a good company.
NO DOUBT!!! Just waiting to hear back from them to see what I'll have to do...

Oh, ive taken your advice very seriously. My bad if it came off that i wasn't interested.
Matter-O-Fact, transplant was done with an extra buffering.
Already chose to rinse Perlite & Hydroton, making a nice messs of the driveway, so the pre-soak was the last thing i wanted to do. Pictured working in mud.
Looking to cut a corner i ended up going 40ml Epsom (around 900 ppm), 40ml MagiCal (brought up to 1200).
3 tblspn Yellow label & 3 Green label of BatGuano Comp. Tea.
Then the cherry ontop was TM-7.
Hopefully the plants can handle that mix.applied as part of transpltransplant.
You think i boinked myself? Thnx!
You'll be fine glad to read some here have a open mind...

Not laughing here at all.
Just figured i might get some flack for the not so ideal flowering spectrum, but i won the boards lol.

Any one got suggestions for supplementing some far red or 3000k into my layout? I curently have 4 boards spaced about 3" apart on my frame length ways. Trying to keep it sub 100w. Tia!

Your good man both my lights are 4000k I worried about it the first run but that went fine so I added more 4000k panels.

Running 4 autos after this run cause summer time and i am too busy fucking off fishing somewhere. Next photo run I want to add some of the HLG QB 3 far reds as a Phytochrome trigger to see if I can cut off a week or so in flower.

Not sure if all that was necessary cuz im in CannaCoco now but unlike the other bags/products I've used, it did Not say Pre-Nutrient Buffered on the bag or anything similiar.
I run Canna as well I still buffer growing with QB LED just seems like since I started with LED's the plants like a nice supply of Cal/Mag, higher temp's and less food ( I'm not running C02 ) than I used to do with HID. I also run my lights a bit higher than most around 30" above the top's. I am thinkin of doing some side lighting running the boards soft just a few on each side. Still getting each strain worked out they all seem to react quite a bit different to LED lighting.

Tents always seem to look bigger once full of nugz. I think our eyes get larger or something.

@grilledcheese101 Only thing better than DIY with Quantum boards is Free DIY with Quantum boards. As well Megacrop.. Talking about growing bud for low dollar. Well done.

Haha ya my buddies are all in too like 2-3k for slightly larger set ups with "name brand" bottle nutes and swear by the crap but im too cheap to fall for it anymore lol.

You got me wondering if Growers is scamming people.... substituting cheap junk boards for HLG's. That's why I suggested contacting HLG about this. Now I'm sure HLG has boards go bad, shit happens and we all know it. BUT, the only time I've heard of this problem with a small set of LEDs per board, was alway on shit Alibaba boards. Better to be paranoid that get screwed over! HLG can probablt tell quickly if its one of their boards or not.

Yeah man, I got a heatsink that was in a 320 kit, fins were bent on one corner. Not to bad, paint was chipped off though. I straightened it up with some channel locks. It’s fine now.

I got two kits from GrowersLights at that time. One board out of the three in each kit, has diodes that go dim as the wattage is turned down until they go completely out. Five or six on each board. Both of these kits came from GrowersLights. I didn’t notice the diode thing until I’d been running’em for about six months. Up on bright, you wouldn’t notice it. But I suspect it was that way from the get go. It’s not a big problem, and I’m still ok. But it kinda didn’t seem right. Especially the heatsink. The box it came in wasn’t torn anywhere. I was surprised someone didn’t see it being bent before I did. I’m thinking it was that way when it was packaged and then shipped. Quality control was definitely slacking. I’m pretty sure it was noticeable before I got it. And the two faulty boards. Same thing, somethings not right. But after six months I’m thinking it’s to late. No sales receipt, I don’t know where it’s at. But I’ll keep my paperwork from now on! Lol.

I purchased three more hlg- 320 kits a couple weeks after those first two. Got these three straight from HLG. They’re perfect! No problem whatsoever. I want to make sure everyone understands that I love my lights. I’m serious, i love’em. I’m in the process now of purchasing heatsinks and boards for diy projects. But I think I’m going through HLG to get what I need whenever possible. LED, it’s the way. I’m now on my fourth run with’em.
