You'd have gotten more from those plants if you'd topped them. They're nice, but there's a lot of stuff down low that isn't going to get enough light to mature properly.Day 20
Raised the set of back panels up a notch on the chain for the taller girls in back.
They all look very happy from head to toe.
Trucking along.

you don't top a sog grow. heheYou'd have gotten more from those plants if you'd topped them. They're nice, but there's a lot of stuff down low that isn't going to get enough light to mature properly.
are the optics you selected for your grow different from the onesYou'd have gotten more from those plants if you'd topped them. They're nice, but there's a lot of stuff down low that isn't going to get enough light to mature properly.
My lenses were especially designed to evenly light a wall adjacent to the fixture. Even then they aren't meant for depth into the canopy.are the optics you selected for your grow different from the ones
normally offered? if so, would you care to expound on the concept?
your grow definitely isn't having a problem with bottom branches
receiving enough light!
I purposely let them be to try out a proper sog. You'd have gotten more from those plants if you'd topped them. They're nice, but there's a lot of stuff down low that isn't going to get enough light to mature properly.
Use HLG-240-1050A and put 2 boards in series. My build Plan is as follows:
6 boards -> 3 pairs
Each pair driven by an hlg-240h-c2100a
parallel wired.
I'm just waiting for the double sized slate2 coolers, because of ... reasons.
I Just think they'd make the build kind of "cleaner" - so no performance reasons at this point.
The Whole thing will pull ~300W-750W from the wall.
My only concern is about the parallel wire thing...
When i order the plates can i somehow be sure to get Boards with equal consumption?
Well this will be an excellent test, then!I purposely let them be to try out a proper sog.
I also did the sog to test how deep penetration is at 50w a board.
There are a few that have used them but some HLG are more efficient and that is important to some that .5-1.0% differenceI've got a single board and slate2 inbound -- can't wait to test the board against my various samsung strip fixtures. I have a 500ma driver laying around that'll get me started, but I think I want to pick up a ELG-150-C1400A for the setup. I'm just curious why it doesn't seem like anyone else is running with the ELG drivers?
I didn't even know that was an option until you mentioned it - are you using the sdp-001 to program the driver? There are a few that have used them but some HLG are more efficient and that is important to some that .5-1.0% difference
I prefer the software dimming that is available on the elg
man, reading about that programmer and that dimming program looks complicated as hell.how many drivers will 1 sdp-001 run at the same time ?I didn't even know that was an option until you mentioned it - are you using the sdp-001 to program the driver?
@robincnn I'm planning of running the 4 boards I ordered off a hlg-320h-c2800b am I going to need the vf type boards ? Reason I ask is I didn't even know there was the option when I placed my order
