DIY with Quantum Boards

They're gone now though right? Nothing on the site.
However, I was reminded of the 4 pack of 144s for 125. Those are pretty sweet. But the 132s are a better buy for the spread and needing no heatsinks.
144's are basically for retrofitting old cobs.

Steve said something a while ago about finding these other V1 diodes or something similar in 90cri.

I've got 5 sets of (4 pack) the QB 132 V2 hanging nearby too.
Less power and higher LED count with the 288's is great.
I'd love to get a few more of the 288 v1's if @Stephenj37826 could conjure up some and I'd gladly make that 4x8 ALL QB 288 v1's.
12 in total would be wonderful!
I've heard from various posts some folks getting a freebie on occasion, but I'd just love to get more of those V1 panels, not that I'd complain about an XXL t-shirt lol!(:

You might send them a email or give them a call. I've ordered qb324s twice since they've been removed from their website. They might have a few more laying around. Doesn't hurt to ask.

I redid my frame(s), so I could add more lights. The outer frame is 48"x54". The three inner frames are 47.75"x13.75". The inner frames set inside the outer frame, and the qb288's set inside the inner frame. I can slide the lights wherever I want within the frame.

The inner frames were meant to slide also, but the weight of the boards and heatsinks made the outer frame bow. So until I remake a heftier outer frame, I'm leaving the two qb96's off of the middle frame.

Beautiful grow. Could you share the numbers with us on wattage and area? Looks like all 3K except for 2 x 4K, maybe? What medium are the ladies in? Did you ever give these particular ones some foliar feed? Really beautiful.

The room is 4' 2" x 6' 2", but the plants are limited to the area directly beneath the lights, so 4' x 4½'. The 2 in the back corners are the 4K boards (as you already figured out). Until I can get in the room with a lux meter, I'm just guessing at wattages for uniform coverage. Right now the wattage is set up like this:

80_____65_____65_____80

_____70_________70

80_____65_____65_____80

So that's 720 watts at the wall. I use plain coco for the medium, Jacks 321 formula for nutes, and alternate between tribus and recharge.

You're wattage distribution is spot on for even spread ppfd. So good work there. Although 720watts is a bit overkill for a 4'x4.5' space, it's truly sniper area of 4x6 so it's perfect. If you can spread your boards out to where the outside edges of 2 opposing boards are actually 48" apart, you'll be even better.

So I’ve become obsessed with the whole dialux with helping to design, and it would be amazing if HLG had any IES files of the boards...

Here's my second grow with the RSpec's in a 3x3. Just started week 4, Russian Snow from Vision on the left and Purple Mac from Greenpoint on the right, both DWC in 10gal totes. I added two more boards for this run so I'm running 4x R-Spec QB288's in parallel off an HLG-320H-54A, maxes out at the wall at about 360 watts.

Also have a couple of the 4k QB288 v2's growing some auto's for me that are lookin quite good.

This was the first grow under just 2 of the RSpec boards in the same tent, Single Godberry from Freedom of Seeds in DWC. Got 172 grams dry.
