Some of my best friends own a lil brewery not far from my house. I like to joke that Dave is handicapped- he's apparently unable to brew a mediocre beer! He makes a very smooth Storm Mountain Stout. Ask him to make a Caucasian with it for you... you'll be anything but disappointed.
For anyone who finds themselves in the neighborhood;
Buckhorn Brewery
4229 W Eisenhower
Loveland CO
This is starting to sound like a game of one-upmanship and that's totally not my intent, really! It's just nice to talk beer with another aficionado.
No worries, brother! I'm always happy to hear recommendations from other craft beer lovers. I'm a big fan of Colorado beer. Went through Denver a couple of years ago, but sadly didn't get to do much brewpubbing; only got to hit one small place downtown (can't remember the name at the moment, but I have it logged). Hoping to go through again next year, so maybe I'll arrange our route to pass through Loveland.
I live in the Lansing area, which for too long was a craft beer wasteland; had to go to Grand Rapids or Kalamazoo for a good selection of breweries. Thankfully, the beer revolution (like the impending Cannabis revolution!) was undeniable and unstoppable, so we're finally getting good locally brewed beer. Really good, actually!
Edit: had to give props to the breweries in Traverse City too. That town is a fucking haven for anyone who loves quality. So many great breweries in such a small place.
