Maybe because I work and inspection!
Oh it will be finer than what I've shown but we have 2 options. We could go for the perfect polished aluminum look and spend extra on it which will add 200+ to the retail price of the fixture. Or we could leave the machined industrial look and pass the savings on.... It will be anodized as well. It looks nice to me at the end. I highly doubt that people will complain when most fixtures look like this. Over 45% of the surface is covered anyways and to be honest I like the more industrial look.... Compliments the HLG 550s niche a low cost high efficiency photon machine......

So asking questions about products is considered trolling now? As a potential customer I suppose to ask questions about what I'm about to spend my hard earned money on. Same dudes calling @OLD MOTHER SATIVA lights knockoffs can say the same thing about these lights being nextlight knock offs. I don't have no dog In the fight but imma call a spade a spade.

Quantum Board - MEXICAN LOLLIPOPS

Since today is an off day for me i thought i would pull the 2 SOG style plants i got going.
Yes they are some local ( west ) mexican sativa but i pop these once in a while.

Quantum lights on 12/12 from seed ( planted in 1 gallon bags ) week 1 of flower.
I changed mediums ( soil ) to Dr. Earth to give it a go. But i also decided to try that Liquid Solution ( 3/3/3 ) nute ... It is working very well , lush green colors and health.

Note : This feed LITERALLY looks and smells like somebody took a shit in a bottle.
But the plants love it.

No one is calling you a troll I don't believe. Secondly the only similarity to next light is a 5630 led that's it. Sorry you feel that way but we have very different fixtures. The next light is more than double the size... Just saying. Questions are encouraged here. If you ask in a genuine inquiring Manor you will receive the data you requested.

you guys ever think of selling boards with no hardware? i can solder my own lights( paste and hot air are wonderful things) but i can't cut a board over 6x6 on the cnc machine i have available to me, would really like a few 6x12s to chain together. could do it with 6x6s but thats twice as many connections and wires and all that

Is it possible to make a QB that has different color temperature rows all on the same board? Like a few 2700K and a few 4000K on the same board? In other words, is it possible to make your own custom spectrum formula using QBs? Or, is the tech still "either/or"?

I like the design of the ChilLED QBs for this reason...but instead of combining different temps of the Samsung strips, he uses old mono technology to add blue and red and UV. The UV idea I really like a LOT...and I want to get into the QBs now...but I fear that a whole bunch of new things are just over the horizon and I am tempted to wait and see if either the prices drop on these things ...OR, if they become customizable as I mentioned...

How do you people see it going over the next 6 months to a year?

I would love to share what all great plans we have for boards and DIY, however we too many companies interested in HLG ideas. We would like to keep some cats in the bag. Next few months... Expect more red, more slate heatsink designs, more high power kits, more board designs, more powerful boards. Most important... More inventory

I think Mixing different spectrum on same circuit in parallel can cause issues. Best to keep all parallel rows with same reel of diodes. Different spectrum reels could have slight variation in Vf.

However different spectrum can go in different circuits and you will have 2 inputs to board.are you talking about controlling 2700k and 4000k diodes separately or together

We can do alternate diodes of different spectrum but that may raise the cost.

I like to idea of a single spectrum. Keeps things simple and cost low.
We are looking into getting more deep red. Will have 2 types of prototypes boards ready in 3 weeks and we will post spectrum here. Napalm will do a journal

Steve has his own ideas. That is why we have 2 prototypes in design.:mrgreen:

personally i dont expect the $cost to us going lower. looking at the hlg site $75 per board to me is a good price

for a qb board, heatsink, driver, and needed hardware the 90watt kit $149, and the 135w kit $168
and the 260 wat kitt with 2 quantum boards 1 heatsink twice as long as on the single QB kits and one driver matched for the 2 boards and hardware to mount and hang $285

on the last ability to order April 4th I said hell yes and ordered 2 135w kits in 5k spectrum and 2 260 watt kits in 3k spectrum total with shipping was $948

thats 6 QB's 4 heatsinks 4 drivers and the light they push vs the wattage they use is incredible.

Soon I am starting my grow and will keep a journal on here to show all the :twisted:ney sayers:wall: just what they will do to the plants we love so much.:weed:
