no no no not that one ... (:

Building a 20 ton press. From scratch!
Can have any sized plate (SS or Aluminum) from 2 to10 inches by what ever ,heaters can be exchanged with therms.
PID's and Parts are ordered.
Pieces being cut and welded as I type. buddy just sent a text sayin he's got them cut already.
It's awesome having a metal fab shop on hand. Even better having a friend who will do things like this for you and offer suggestions like powder coating
Just tryin to put together a 20 ton bench press that anyone can use at home, not take up to much space, and have the best Rosin there is going!
Hopefully by next week Ill have it together.
So far..so good... :weed:

I'm thinkin Ill hear back from him by next week..theres only the placement of a plate to affix then powder coat.... so maybe the following week after that... assembly of electronic parts are simple and will be done and ready to use :o Watchin people press oz's and more at once is awesome.. lol :weed:

So far the material costs aren't to bad.
Have to see what the labour is after hahahhahahaha

Its crude but made with SS except for the plates which are aluminum. They can be SS as well and switched up easily enough to any size up to 10 inches.
The Jack is pneumatic as well as hydraulic which hopefully aids in last squishing's .(:
The guy putting it together has never burned one in his entire life..but he's right into this and wants to see it work

as it stands now ......stands.(its a bench model).it weights 55 lbs with out the jack.
The jack weighs 32 pounds.

In Iran they use a olive oil type press...maybe 3-5 tonne

in the UK I've seen a vertical cider press for about 3-6 tonnes

the best used was from a meat works in Poland

for squeezing out tallow, horizontal up to 12 tons and can process a minimum of 2 tons

all were hydraulic

good luck

ps its worth contracting out

Have ya actually sourced the parts to DIY..? It would shock you.
Im cheap lol
Really interested in the set up that you are doing. I have looked at rosin rigs and the prices are crazy for what it actually is. Really like to see what the total cost is for yours, something I might copy in the future.

I kept looking as well and finally broke down and decided to build one...,,,then I figured it wouldn't hurt to ask if I could get some help designing and getting it fabbed up. Lots to copy online already... I just incorporated features I liked.
I got my PID's(inkbirds) today. So I can rig up my plates and test it to see how it works!
