Cover the glass or you will get algae growing in there and come back in 10 to 15 days and post shots of the roots so we don't both look like dicks LOL

dude i built one identical. works great, i keep the stems about 2cm under the water and the roots grow like wild fire! just change res regularly. I dont use any dome or mist the clones, they dont seem to need it in this system.
Man how long till i see results

great build. if u get a transister radio and ground the antena to the cloning machine you will see roots pouring out in like 7 hours.

okay, i have worked with up to 240 site aero cloners, and i have to say i will never buy a premade cloner again, because what yo have works just as well, except...

a. you dont want any light at all in that reservoir.

b. change the water every day, and use straight tap water. if you really want to use the superthrive thats fine, but numerous tests done by the legal community have shown that there is really nothing you can do to improve straight tap water.

c. make sure you use a nice sharp razor and branch joints root faster than bare stems.

d. i like to mist them. this is were i use extremely minute amounts of nutes, as stomata can intake nutes.

good luck!

with nice low rez temps i usually see roots in 10 days. 400 watt is prolly a little much unless its like five feet away from them.

i think 18/6 is a little antiquated unless you are trying to save $ on your electric bill...24hrs is the norm i believe???

maybe a layer of flat black then flat white paint on the clear rez?

anything to keep light out.

oh yeah one more trick, when you cut the clones, take the razore and scrape very gently the area above the cut, this exposes the part of the stem wall that can become roots, they will shoot out a munch thicker healthier root bunch this way instead of a few lone noodles ;)
