DIY EZ Cloner

There have been numerous people on here that have been looking for a cheaper way to make an EZ Cloner. This weekend, I made this my project for rollitup.org. You will need the following items:

1.) Submersible Water Pump (Mine is 400 gph) - $20 on ebay
2.) 2" Net Pots and Neoprene Inserts - $1 each on ebay (when buying multiple)
3.) 360 Degrees Aeroponic Mister - $1 each on ebay (when buying multiple)
4.) PVC Piping - The length depends on your cloning container - $ 3 from Lowes
5.) Let's get started.

My cloner is housed in a 2 gallon bucket with lid from home depot. You start off by placing the pump in the bottom of your container, and attach hosing as necessary. I'm very vague on the hosing, as each bucket is completely different. My main spout off the water pump is only 3" tall, and all connectors off my 90 degrees are 1" only. So that's why I'm not being specific on the dimensions. Once you have your piping all secure, and know that it will fit in the bucket, drill a 10/32 hole in the PVC pipe for your misters. Once you've screwed on the mister, its ready to go. Put you cuttings in the neoprene inserts, fills the reservoir with water, and plug in, and voila! My cloner is just a 2 site cloner, but as you can see from the design, you can make it however many you want.

There is no dome needed on your clones, as the water is heated by the pump, and the constant mist on the cuttings will be more than enough water and humidity. Hope this helps everyone. Enjoy!

With your setup, on average how many day till roots form on your cuttings? That seems to be my issue. Hopefully this new setup will help out. Have you ever done 12/12 from clone?

My average is 7-10 days. Its holding up pretty well too. And all I put in there is Clone X. My design is based in StinkBuds System. Its is by far the most successful cloner I have ever used....and its the simplest...go figure!

oh and i fucked up with one hole for the sprinkler, i went in at a slight angle and caused the sprinkler to pop out every time i turned it on =/
so i took out the adjacent one to even that it out and pocked a hole at the bottom of each of those legs to lessen the pressure. i ran it for 5 hours straight to see if anything else would pop up and everything is good.
i took out all the net pots and put paper towels on top of each hole, all holes were getting water aow aowwww!!

and thats waterproof tape i sealed the holes with.

I recently built a 15 site from a 5 gallon bucket. I too was having trouble with rockwool. All I put in mine is tap water and h202 and I average 90% success in an average of 7-10 days. And I already had the pump and most of the tubing so it cost me less than 10 bucks to make. Best diy project of mine so far and super easy to make.

Nice setup...all cloning gel for the most part is the same. I use Rootech Cloning Gel by Techniflora. All of my nutes are from them.

Quick Update on my clones.....3 days and it has roots. =) My setup may not look the best, but it sure works! I'll update with pics once roots are more stable. I don't want to fuck with the clones right now. Also, my clones are in my flower room, and they are doing straight 12/12 and so far so good.

I'm keeping mine on all the time. Seems to be working good. One has some short roots so far.

jazzyvibez i see you put your cords thru the bucket and not the lid! this is genius! most ppl put the cord thru the lid for some reason.
having the cord thru the lid is such a nightmare! im always so frustrated dealing with the lid, so i put my cords thru the side and im so happy. ;)
solid design!

i see most ppl complaining their water is too hot
i left my 500gph pump on 24 hours and the water was in the 50s!
im guessing i will have to add a heater
