Yea, it's a book (http://www.amazon.com/Marijuana-Buds-Less-Grow-Than/dp/0932551874) and that's where I got the idea. I had to modify the design a bit for my needs (1 plant insteead of 3). I liked the idea of a movable halo that could really shower a single plant with light. The design in the book doesn't allow for the side wing lights to bend on a 90 degree angle (to create a box around the plant) but yea giving credit where credit is due, I got the idea from SeeMoreBuds's great book.

This is EXACTLY how CFL's shud be used fer growing! Ya just need to make reflectors fer the top! I realized this is how I shoulda done it, after I started, however, I never SAW it b4, & thought I was bein original!

Yea man, there are some ingenious light designs on this site. After I built mine I spent a few hours looking at pictures here of other setups. After this grow (which might be sooner than later if I get a male) I'm going to re-think my lighting. I'm also going to go with a DWC Bubbleponics setup instead of soil because I don't want to have to wait a month to find out the sex of my plant and I'm just not comfortable growing more than 1 at a time (and don't have the desire to run a cloning operation or perpetual grow).

I think it was a wasate of money! The ONLY useful thing from that book was the CFL idea! He didnt show you how to design it properly, he neglected even the simplest of techniques to grow MORE bud in smaller spaces, all sorts of shit. Hell, maybe I shud write a book

I was thinking the very same thing. I could could written a better book (if I had good ganja growing skillz
). I downloaded the book from a torrent site and I ended up buying (actually paying for) The Cannabis Grow Bible; 2001; Greg Green. It's a great book, but of course there's nothing on CFLs so I have to credit the Buds 4 Less book for introducing me to the CFL community.

Oh yea, much respect for SeeMoreBuds himself. His videos are a hell of a lot of fun to watch, just wish the Buds book was more comprehensive.
sorry guys moving and i'm in and out ( switching to dsl too so that's a bitch!) any way that tub is a rubbermaid xl 37gallon i mounted 18" t5's on 3 sides and originally was going to cut a hole in the bottom and stack 2 on top mof each other but as soon as i switched the lght i had already outgrown that idea because i was ready to start another batch so i decided to start a self perpetuating cabinet here's the link to my "journal" thread https://www.rollitup.org/general-marijuana-growing/156412-newbie.html

i dont mean to hijack the thread im just trying to get the best setup to add to my 250W MH (4 plants, i just want more light so theyre happy in the long run). How do you wire the bathroom vanity lights to plug into a wall socket? sorry im a pothead not an electrician
the only thing i like to burn is MJ not the whole house
