We need to setup some sort of purchasing network. I can't find those bins, or bins that look like those anywhere in Canada (online). Both Target and Amazon refuse to ship them to me! If I had a boat I would zip across Lake Ontario to Youngstown, NY and pick some up.

Here are some more pics of my cloner. I had leaks from mine so I did some mods to fix it. I put weather stripping around the lid to seal the two together. I used some 100% silicone to make sure it had the best seal it could to the lid. Your box will have a little gully around the top that can hold a little bet of water so I put silicone in there to keep the water from staying in there. I also put mylar on the lid to help with the light movement. I am running a big ass air pump to put the as much oxygen in the water as I can before it is sprayed on the clones. I am using some liquid Karma and superthrive in the water as well to help with rooting. It was about 11-13 days before I had roots. I am using a cheap 15min on and 15min off timer and it seems to work fine so far.. :weed:

love the concepts lurk and the other areo systems and ebb and flo.. diy is always cheaper...

im still tryn to figure out the container /rez situation. . so 2 of the same size container, create the gap needed for the pump and rez water below, or do u have to match a small and large 1?

Shit, I dont understand this at all. I need to make a little aero set up that will fit in my clone seedling aera which gives me about 16 inches from floor to the fixture. I bought a daisy cloner which is just a gallon+1/2 tub that you fill to the line, center the shitty pump with tube sticking out so far out of the water and 1 mister that sprays in a circle hitting all the cuttings. The thing is, I never got one cutting to root. After 2 weeks they look as good as they did cut streight off the plant but would not grow roots. Not even bumps. So I have this killer strain that I cant seem to root. Killed 13 out of 14 cuttings. Ive since bought some rapid rooters, some new hormone gel and I would like to make a success ful cloner that is small and will for sure root my cuts. I swear if I could I would pay who ever told me how to do this. A +rep for sure.

You could try starting cubes and a dome. That is a easy way to try. You could use 2 plastic cups, One for the plant and the other as a dome. Just use a clear cup for the top, of course.

Great lookin set-up. Have been contemplating on a DIY system or buying one off the Internet but most of them are way to expensive or too cheap to even waste money on. Something like this would be perfect for my 8x8 room(not to mention my very small budget). I do have a question for u though. What holds the smaller tub up high enough so that the bottom of it is able to drain into the larger tub? Also when changing resavoir water would it be easier to just drill a drain hole with a plug or just remove the small tub and dump the other? Seems like this could possibly disturb the plants if u don't have a set of steady hands.

my only question for this is, how often do you have to fill the water? im looking to build something that only has to be refilled once a week.

Well acctually I posted because I want an aero cloner. That was the point.
Do you leave your daisy cloner on all the time? You should have it on 15 min on 15 off or something like that. I have seen people use the daisy cloner with great success

I think then as soon as I can afford one of those timers I'll set it back up with a new pump and a 360 sprayer.

You don't need to have one of those expensive timers for that
I think you could use an analog timer or digital timer and just have them turn on and off as much as the timer will allow

Couldnt I get one that plugs into the wall socket? Or do those have a plug on the back? Cant tell.
That timer does plug in to the wall. I am still using a 15 min on and 15 min off timer and it works fine, I got the timer from target because you can do as many 15 on and off as you want. Some only let you do like 5-6 times on and off cycles a day.

I understand you want to root a cutting and you dont seem to know how or can't get it to work for you.. So you might want to try to do it this way until you get a cloner made. It is a easy way to root clones and this way you can keep the strain alive. That is the only point.
