got 2 2x2s going started a couple of days ago. one has dinachem s1, dinachem x blue kush, dinachem x purple afghan kush and blue kush x nl s1 #2. the other has 5 dinachem s1s just poking out of soil today.

the 1st tent has vegged plants for a couple of weeks in small pots and got transplanted 2 days ago and they started growing and coming to their own today. looking happier than ever. the pots are filled with 50% coco, 25% old reused peat based mix, %25 percent hydrotons because i just had those around the house :) this soil is fortified with ewc, manure, bat guano, neem meal and basalt.

the other tent has 5 pots filled with mostly coco + reused peat based mix from my prior grow. these will be fed by 2 biotabs tabs per each pot. gonna do only water with both tents and test how well a coco heavy organic living soil performs for me.

not much has changed i stripped the old damaged leaves now waiting on the new growth, they’re showing sex and going asymmetrical nodes so soon they’ll flower. i don’t know if theyre gonna fill the space but we’ll see. they look healthy and thats whats important to me.

changed the layout of the seedlings (geometry is fun) and they are all ready to veg full throttle and flower in a week i hope :)

so its been a week already, girls are flowering in the mixed tent and the seed tent is looking healthy and happy for now :)
i was thinking of flipping them after their first week but now i want to give them a week more. they are on 10/2 schedule atm looking fine.

blue kush x nl flowered real fast that was a tiny bummer means i’ll have a pretty uneven canopy but that was to be expected with a multi strain grow with the strains i chucked haha

did a light defol, its like day and night there right hahah. just took a couple of leaves off from each. they’re in full flower mode now still going plain distilled water. raised the light a bit to 30-35cm.

dinachem s1 seedlings are coming along nicely too. i was keeping the light at 60cm at 40%, i was treating these like the cob setup i have in the 2x2 realized these were not cobs lowered them to about 35ish cm a couple of days ago. i’m giving plain water to these ones too. gonna flip them friday so 2 week after germination.

flipped the dinachem s1s today. one of them growing kinda funny, freaky but i’m gonna keep it going anyway.

the other 2x2 is going fine for now. i noticed a tiny bit of yellowing on the tips of the top leaves and some blotches between veins. going straight water still, raised the lights a bit, i’m guessing too much amendments is the culprit but we’ll see.

the light is sitting at 30cm from dinachem and 50cm from the lowest blue kush x nl s1 #2. gonna lower it down a bit in the coming days.

also took off a couple more fan leaves to increase air flow.

it worked well for about a month and a week maybe. then plants started showing lighter color at which point i topdressed with some bat guano (3-4-3) and coco mix. they started off with puffy leaves for some reason tho, all of them showed big bloated leaves but not overwatered then they grew out of it. they got schwazzed sunday because humidity is a bitch to control in these tiny tents. will post pics once the restriction on my account gets lifted.

@Kassiopeija this was their progress weekly

between the last pic and the one before that i topdressed with some more coco with ewc manure and guano mixed in but in very small amounts

and this is how they look now. i’m feeding them some spirulina, molasses and fulvic acid from time to time in reasonable amounts. also added biobizz bloom once or twice.

very good.
have you washed and or buffered the cocos used in your mix?
do you think it works any better then peat only or similar?
i find it to be a perfectly suitable replacement for peat and dont plan on going back to peat again. now since this tent was a 2x2 i had problems with rh near the end so had to harvest early and they looked like this just a couple of days before the harvest.

i’m happy with the coco without a doubt, not happy with the small tents though. hard to keep rh low. i’m thinking i should replace the 2 2x2s with a 2x4.

sad to hear they clearly could had need a bit more time.
otherwise your mix seems to work fine.
on paper cocos contains a lot K and NaCl.
was your cocos straight from the bag? or did you made anything to prepare it?
i guess growing like you do you dont work with runoff, or if then little.

oh yeah forgot about that part of the question haha

no i havent done anything to prepare it. just used dehydrated bricks from plagron. soaked it in distilled water and used it. no rinsing and it says on the packaging that its already buffered. yeah i aim for 0 runoff mostly.

now after harvest around june 20th, i dumped the coco-mix back into a tub and added a cup of ewc, guano, manure blend and filled 3 pots back up and started another run.

new run is 2 cannalope haze s1s and one rootbound destroyer mother

last week and today pics

going straight distilled water again this run but probably gonna have to topdress this time.

thanks, could really be your bricks where well buffered.
i like plagron, their stuff is usually high quality. so since i know the brand and they dont recommend additional washing because its double or triple washed and say its already buffered and ready to be used i havent felt the need to prepare it in any other way. works well.
