Digital ballast question

G'day guys , so I've been led to believe that mh's rock for vege , preventing stretch and promoting shorter node distance if my reading is correct , can't count on my memory haha , anyways
I have a luscious maximus 600w digital ballast , dimmer dials ands yeah , I have only ran a gavita bulb for last flower , used led and cfl for a long vege period , but times a factor on this grow , 12 week timeframe , anyhoo , will I cause damage to my ballast running a mh bulb ? , and must it be specifically for a digi ballast , or ?

pretty sure you can run any 600w mh lamp off that ballast

I run only MH,,,,,,I get better results in the long run (considering many factors overall) over flipping to HPS
Modern digital Ballasts are built to run both.
