Day 23 flower

Got cold in my basement last night and temps dropped in the tent to 62f with exhaust running and pots soaked, it was their coldest night yet.

Will place small heater in the room from now on to avoid that happening again .
Check my thread regarding breakers if you do LOL!

I can smell them from here :)

I have noticed that several of mine have a purplish hue, and I think it's from temps. I didn't even notice until zooming in on a pic. When you see one turn red, you'll know. It catches your eye. Just think of the red hairs on dried flowers you have smoked. Looks pretty much the same.

Any neighbors close by? If the smell is strong now imagine in 30 more days, lol. Might wanna spend on an extra carbon filter, bud.

I have one asshole neighbor, I will probably have to get 2 carbon filters. His house is about 70 feet away (his back porch, where they all hang out drunk)

I don't need my neighbors or the rest of the community smelling my grow ( my 1st grow)....I'll be known as that old guy that grows pot .... I wondered when the first indication of smell is, depends on strain too I guess.....I have a 4" in-line fan and a 4x15" can filter....I'm thinking now it might not be enough in my 4x8x8' grow room (outside) actually growing in a 3x2x6' cab .....

Here ya go

Hope they are clear enough.

Even grabbed a few pics with lights off
Could be just starting, tough to tell. If you have a macro setting on your camera or phone, it helps. If you have a decent camera, you can take close pics, then zoom in to check trichomes without needing a loupe.

Ya there was more red/orange hairs on other buds aswell. My phone pics couldnt pick them up very good, im prob not the greatest photographer either lol

Wondering if i should do one more pruning before leaving them alone to finish. 2 of the 4 are really bushed in the centers and causing alot of darkness down to the middle shoots

From here on out it shouldn't take a "pruning". You have 3-5 weeks left, more leaves is better. It should be just looking out for problem leaves that are covering other top cola, but I would pretty much let them do their thing. Don't sweat it if leaves are shading lower stuff on the same limb. They all get the same energy from the leaves. Plus - it's a weed.

Most of the growth will now be fattening, not putting out new shoots. Any new leaves you see will be coming out of the tops themselves as they get taller and fatter. You won't get many more fan leaves, so keep all you can.

With good lights there is enough penetration that it shouldn't matter at this point

Look at the tops here. It is cool to watch how the build from this point on, new little leaf tips pop out of the top, gradually grow out then horizontal as the calyxes above then get fat, then it does it again.

Everything from now on will build and stack like that, even the lower buds, but slower. This will cause the lower node flowers to fatten, and if there isn't too much stretch join with the flower above them. You'll see them separate again when it dries.
IMG_5864.JPG
About even with my thumb is where the top starts, then there are 3 sets of buds that were the lower node flowers.
The longer you can let it go, the taller and fatter each flower gets.

and watch that they don't starve because they'll cycle through some water now too. At this stage, as long as you are still conservative about it, 'drowning' them is not very likely. So let them dry out, but not too much.

You've got to be pretty happy with this grow...looks amazing...

Ya I'll be honest with you, I couldn't have imagined it going much better for my first time.

I def picked a good first timer strain and kept things pretty simple. Overall yes, very happy.

Also very glad you guys enjoyed the journal/journey with me. I've enjoyed logging it
