Did something dumb

I'm well into flowering, maybe about two weeks left and have been battling leafhoppers and other insects. I looked up how to make an insecticidal spray, and was instructed to mix oil and soap, then dilute. I followed the instructions, using hemp oil as the oil of choice. Now, the plants smell vaguely like hemp oil and I'm worried I screwed up. It's not an unpleasant smell, but I certainly didn't want to alter the buds' natural aroma.

Do you think I permanently damaged the plant? Will it alter the taste of the bud?

Welcome to RIU

The best solution I can think of is to wash the buds at harvest. I wash my outdoor, and it comes out pretty decent. You'll be surprised with all the crap that comes off of outdoor buds into the wash buckets.

Good luck! Peace :peace:

The smell will dissapear before harvest and even if it doesn't you can wash your buds before hanging to dry and cure to remove residues and dirt
