Your high school Civics teacher done you wrong. But you should know better, "and to the Republic, for which it stands." What's that, Republic? Stupid pledge, we're a fucking democracy!
i never had a "civics" teacher and i never went to "high school" it was "secondary school" and i think the class would have been "politics" for me

but anyway i'm still trying to get an answer on why are you even bothering with these votes?

Franklin:

"Democracy is two wolves and a lamb voting on what to have for lunch. Liberty is a well-armed lamb contesting the vote."

The votes are only an indicator. The final say comes from what each delegate thinks. Just like our justice system. Sure the jury might find you guilty, but the judge can,on a whim, throw that verdict out.

funny thing is that the paul cultists loved to brag about how well ronald did in straw polls back before the primaries began.

now that he is losing them, they don't matter, nor does the will of the people.

i'm just LOLing at the blatant hypocrisy.

If you repeat yourself enough maybe people will understand your distorted view of reality. The straw votes are an indicator of public opinion so doing well in the polls is good and Ron Paul has greatly improved in his poll numbers compared to 2008. The delegate system helps candidates who have strong grassroots support, which is the will of the people. Anybody can become a delegate, so if they voted and didn't attempt to be elected delegate than they can't complain that their voice isn't being heard.

true. he's gone from last place to last place. nice accomplishment!

The delegate system ... is the will of the people.
like i said, i'm sure you would be saying the same thing if paul got a majority of the votes but they sent a romney or santorum delegate instead. i'm positive that you would be the first person here defending that!

so much LOL here.

The view thats distorted here is yours man, i mean no offense. I think that youre so supportive of the candidate that you fail to see how this looks from the OUTSIDE of your political circle.

Im an Independent and Ill tell how it looks. It looks like a feeble attempt to circumvent the will of the voters. When you LOSE the vote but then STEAL delegates it will backfire. Youre pissing voters off and its gonna come back to bite your movement in the ass. Paul supporters complain that he isnt taken seriously, this does not help that issue at all. Scream about "liberty for all", I guess thats only if they vote for your candidate?

Either way, its a bullshit tactic, seen as sophomoric and makes the campaign and the candidate look like fools. LOL steal delegates without winning a single state, you guys look pathetic.

the "stealing" is legal.

paulbots always speak against taxes as "stealing" which is legal, and condemn such.

in the interests of fairness i merged another "Ron Paul loses" thread uncle buck started on Feb 2 with this one.

everybody happy?

No, nobody is happy you trash our threads and made them into this disorganized clusterfuck now the search is limited cause vbulletin search sucks and our conversations got all chopped up. You ruined a shit ton of threads....Its not like you even hangout here, you come here like every two weeks at best. Pretty disrespectful to come in and interrupt a bunch of conversations.

Nothing is being STOLEN at all - the medias "projections" are not supposed to come true. The people that actually put more than an hour into selecting their candidate get to actually be the ones that have a say, ANYONE can do it, the vast majority of people who looked into it for more than an hour or two are supporting Ron Paul(No surprise there), and what is wrong with that? This is not new.

Mainer here. I am hearing on local radio that there are towns up north which have not reported yet. Like Iowa, they may be rushing a result out there. I understand that there are also towns up there that did not caucus due to weather. That probably didn't help Paul.

nothing can help rpon paul except for going home and living the rest of his life quietly. get out of the election and stop harming the party lines, you cant win so stop trying.

It's fairly funny that you tell him his Civics teacher did him wrong and then INCORRECTLY tell him we are a democracy. Apparently, somebody didn't make it far enough in school to even participate in a Civics class.

currently we are stacked up like this:

romney 69
gingrich 23
santorum 13
paul 3
huntsman 2

http://www.cbsnews.com/primary-election-results-2012/scorecard.shtml?party=R

2286 total, 1144 to win.

question of this thread is: how badly will ron paul lose?

based on the math so far, paul has garnered an AWESOME 3/110 delegates. this would put him at a total of 62 delegates by the end of things.

i am going to be generous and nearly TRIPLE that number. yes, paulistas, i am THAT generous.

my prediction is that ron paul will LOSE with a paltry 180 delegates to show for it.

anyone else want to stick their neck out there and predict how badly ron paul will lose?
You poor dumb, Testudine.
NONE of the delegates votes have been distributed. Not one. Here's the thing you don't get, besides pussy I mean, delegates elect the president not popular vote. I don't understand why this system was put in place but it's the system.
skip ahead to 4:30 if you don't want to sit through the entire diatribe, as Maddow is long winded on this one.

Bullshit. You made all this crap up. because you can't see the trees for the forrest one should believe your agenda driven "take " on it? lmao
You go on about circumventing the will of the voters??? What a completely blinded asshat you are. The past presidents and Congress have circumvented the will of the voters through their theft of our money for ages.
Because YOU are an uninformed bullshit artist who doesn't see it, is not the fault of Ron Paul supporters. oh but no offense, idiot.
