if u pulled from 7-9 u are fine ;)
What do you mean from 7-9? If you mean weeks of flower, I had no choice. This was an auto flower grow. I’m pretty sure it could of went 2 more weeks. Just not sure how much difference it would make. My first grow.

The final 2-3 weeks of a plants life makes a huge difference. You can't put arbitrary time frames on how long you flower them for. You need to let them grow and properly finish. Without seeing what they looked like at harvest its hard to say for sure. Really though those pictures look like they could hav ebeen pulled early for sure. The hairs are still standing straight up on the buds, and the bracts(calyxs) don't really appear to be very plump or swollen, which usually means the plant needed another 2-3 weeks to PROPERLY ripen.

Being your first grow its awesome you got a plant to harvest! The next step is watching all the stages of growth so you can really appreciate whats happening to the plant. Once you figure it out, and you get a plant to full maturity you will definitely appreciate what I'm saying right now even more. THE BEST smoke comes from healthy fully ripened plants.

Next time you think you are getting close to harvest, post pictures and we will try tohelp you dial in the proper time frame.

I will definitely look here when my next one is ready for harvest.

Hey guys. I grew some white widow from seedsman. It grew fine, it’s been properly dried and cured. The problem is it doesn’t pack much of a punch. Looking at these trichomes, does it look like it was too early. You can zoom in some to see them better. Thank you in advance. View attachment 4374158View attachment 4374159View attachment 4374160

From the looks of those buds the hairs have not really receded at all and the calyx's have not swollen either. I'd say yes you harvested too early.

Ya from what I’ve seen in videos and read; about 30-50% Amber for that sedative type high or pluck em early while milky for a more productive/energy high... so I read lol

This simply is not the case.

If that were true you could grow an up lifting sativa and leave it longer to make it sedate you.

Or grow a commatosing Indica and pull it early to help you complete tasks.

Strain is everything for the high your looking for.

Simple as that.

The only thing I’ve found with early harvests or late harvests is how much it effects you. Not what the effect actually is.

Ya somewhat but either way from the looks of it to answer his question it looks as if it were plucked to early

Makes sense. It does effect me, and the effects match what was expected. They just aren’t as potent as I was hoping compared to other people reviews of this seed. If I use twice as much as I normally would use the effects get more noticeable. To get properly high I need to is around 3 times what I typically use. I appreciate all the feedback. I am going to grow the same plant from the same genetics again. Hopefully better results

I was thinking it would be better to try a different strain from a different breeder. What if the problem is genetic, if it is you will go through another grow that is disappointing. You can always save those seeds and run them in a year or two and see how it goes.
Either way welcome to RIU!
Your 1st grow looks great and you ignored the troll while having a pleasant conversation with other members.
Awesome Start Bro!!!!!

Thank you! I thought about trying a different strain but I’ve grown this one already and I believe it was harvested early. It’s an auto flower and I’m still practicing before switching back to photo period strains. I grew one photo plant and it turned out to be a male. I’ll give this one another chance. It’s a hobby until I can grow similar to what’s available at the dispensary. Would be nice to grow decent stuff without paying the higher prices at local dispensaries.

I have some bud that I didn't like at first because it didn't knock me out, but I realized it's great for during the day getting stuff done while in the best mood. I bought a 60x scope since then and looking at it the trichomes are clear still, I harvested way too early.

My wife says the same thing you do. She’s not into Cannabis like me but she says she likes the uplifting and not overwhelming high from my early harvest.

Auto flowers are not going to be as strong as the real deal strain. You might want to try a photo fem of WW.

The last two weeks will make or break a season.

I bought the least expensive LED jewelers loupe I could find on Amazon, it was $5.99 by Growco. It has both the 30x and 60x. The lenses already popped out once while cleaning it, but it gets the job done.

Thank you. I will buy one. Do you think if I made edibles from my harvest I could make a stronger concentration butter and get a decent high? Or, does it not work that way?
