Detroit Lions + 2011/2012 = Super Bowl

Yep that's right I'm calling it, the Lions are going to win the super bowl this season. Everyone is saying they're "playoff ready" but forget that noise, they're superbowl ready. This team has put in their dues, and now it's time. Quarterbacks around the country are unable to sleep. Because even in their dreams they can't hide from Ndamukong Suh and Nick Fairley. You all know I speak the truth.

As long as we keep our glass QB from shattering, that Vince Lombardi Trophy is coming to Detroit.

Really? Well not to burst your bubble but this is the NFL and we do some shit talking, your number 1 pick Nick Fairley is missing the first 3 atleast, Stafford is like a sheet of glass, and youve got to compete with the likes of GB, PHI, NO, and ATL because 6-10 aint gonna cut it. Youre gonna need to make it more like 10-6. What did you add or change to make it over the 8-8 hump? A single season 4 game turn around is not an easy task. Im a Texans fan, I kinda know what Im talkin about.

it was commendable to see him throw a winning TD with a legit broke arm/shoulder, instead of pulling a jay cutler move.
the rest of what you said made me laugh. good luck..

You know its funny people talk so much crap about a team they don't even watch play. I know it was just preseason but the whole time our starters were on the field, they were facing the opposing starters and the Lions dominated in every game. I don't care that they won the preseason games, that means nothing, its how they played with their starters in. You add in all the additions including 2 badass linebackers, a decent corner, the draft picks, and how they showed they could win games last year against the best even with their starting QB out shows they are legit, if Stafford stays healthy.

As for Stafford, I've seen almost every pass that he has thrown this preseason and they are on the money. Even showed up good ole Tom Brady in the first quarter of their preseason game.

The loss of Fairley for a bit makes no difference and you would know that if you have been watching them, just ask Brady.

If Stafford is healthy I guarantee the Lions make the playoffs.

Did you know?: The Lions held the Super Bowl Champs to 3 points last year during the season and if the Lions didn't beat the Bucs, the Packers wouldn't have made the playoffs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We added Tulloch-Middle LB from Titans, Durant-OLB from Jags, Wright-DB from Browns, Young-WR draft, Fairley-DT draft, Stafford-QB IR(hes a addition), and another year of experience for all their young players. I listed players we added who will have a impact. Your right, a 4 game turnaround is not easy to do, but we are not NEAR the same team as last year!

We went 10-6 with no D and kolb playing a few games last year,we also played greenbay the toughest and should of won but akers choked.

vick has a big price tag, but he's unspeakably more worth it than who ever is paying kolb half that. vick is now under the same assumption as brady and manning; win 2+ in the playoffs.

ben makes what kolb is now getting and he's won 2 superbowls. stingy steelers.

It's a long season folks! Injuries... But seriously, the Lions? Smoke another bowl. I'm an Oakland fan, so I'll smoke a bowl with ya and we can at least hope to fuck up our divisional rivals.

Exactly
Preseason games mean shit. When the starters are out there for the whole game, That's when the Loins will suck. Lucky to win 4 games.

First, you know what i find humorous? the fact that you think just because we dont live in michigan means we dont see the lions or any other team for that matter even with todays advances in technology. Second, as you said, its the preseason, you really think you saw tom brady playing? Billichek wouldnt let that happen, that was his alter ego Thomas Brady, and he wasnt playing to 110%. Third you really think you wont miss nick fairley?? Fourth, stafford being a injury prone will come back to haunt you. Fifth and finally, beating a team to get a different team in the playoffs is like robin punching a cronie to help batman beat the joker. . .no one cares about robin as long as batman beats the joker.
