I'm not understanding how you are going to finish them?
In your region the biggest problem is getting them to finish before the snow
And you want to delay them from flowering makes no sense unless you have enough lighting to finish them indoors

i went ahead and looked up frost for MA, says Sept 1 - Oct 10. Depending where in state you're at. That is 8 weeks from today best case scenario. I would try to get those things flowering ASAP.

Yeah but frost isn't always bad. Outdoor plants can take several frosts as long as it is not a hard frost.
I was harvesting mine in Nov still last season and that is in northern wisconsin.

No lol usually 1st week of November sometimes around Halloween but I’m on the south coast, up northwest near Pittsfield and Springfield or closer to NH it maybe earlier.

I just looked at that it’s probably right by estimate. Like it says where Iam in Fall River it October 21-31 and Fairhaven which is 15 minutes away northerly it says November 1-10

ya I found that interesting myself. That’s a good site for Massachusetts growers to take a peak at. Definitely worth a look prior to ordering seeds. Hopefully it works out for OP, but it’s not looking good.

Why delay? If you don't have pistils yet, that means you have stretch to go through still. Your plants can almost double during stretch outdoors.

I live middle of the state in a place that gets feet more snow than surrounding areas
So lucky
