Valid pointI'd like to think that if this was such a great idea, we'd have dehumidifier/humidifier combo devices marketed to home-growers by now.
I used to tank all my condensation & de humidifier water & re use it in humidifiers & feed because it's pure water but my humidifiers slimed up quickly because there was no chlorine in that water. Fighting waterborne molds for a while I let it go & stuck to tap.ive since put a tote bin in the ground & drain all condensation to that & use it for outdoor irrigation
Maybe boil the dehu water first to kill any possible mold spores and bactiria then use it in the humidifier..I knew there had to be a catch, thank you!
Or add a pinch of pool shockMaybe boil the dehu water first to kill any possible mold spores and bactiria then use it in the humidifier..
Just a thought..
That too.. im poor so i instantly think of quik cheap or easy solutions... lmao..Or add a pinch of pool shock
Uv light? Would that work?Or add a pinch of pool shock
Yeah, that was the key to holding ro water & a chiller. I just put 2 on an 850 galUv light? Would that work?
I thought i seen them used in something.. The foggers used in mushroom cultivating.. your water chiller comment reminded me about that..Yeah, that was the key to holding ro water & a chiller. I just put 2 on an 850 gal
Thank you @DoubleAtotheRON i always value your insight when it comes to keeping things clean!I almost have to use my mini split's condensate in my swamp cooler. The well water is too hard, and clogs up the honeycomb media within a year or 2. I've had no problems with mold in the rez of the swamp cooler, but I do add a dash of Physan 20, and hit the water with a UVC light every now and then.
Gotta Love physan 20. that & pool shock are the ultimate sanitizers !Thank you @DoubleAtotheRON i always value your insight when it comes to keeping things clean!
