Ok but how is the dehumidifier supposed to work if the exhaust fan is sucking out all of the dry air that the dehumidifier is spitting out. I tested it out and turned my exhaust fan off and then the dehumidifier started working but when I turned the exhaust fan back on the humidity Rises because the dried air is now being sucked out of the tent and being replaced with moist air from the intake. Im confused
What size fan do you have?

Is there a time where i would turn exhaust to max speed? Is it cool to keep it on low throughout the grow?

Ok. I did have it set on max. Do you think it could be that my dehumidifier is too weak? It is a small cheap dehumidifier.
Yes it will not do anything really with as many plants as u have in that size tent them lil ones suck ass!! trust me man dont be scared to cut all them fan leaves off it will give you better light penetration your plants focus more on producing fat ass buds it will not kill the plant lol it will drop the Humidity you have to much bush in there more plant mass= higher humidity simple and plane

First off, you don't dehumidify the tent. You dehumidify the room the tent is in.

Secondly, it takes time. When I first put my dehumidifier down in the basement after we bought the house, it ran non-stop for a week before it got it down to 60%. Unless you buy a VERY large dehumidifier, or you have a VERY small space, it takes a long time to get all of the moisture out of the air.

By dehumidifying the air in the room, the humidity inside the tent gradually lowers as the air is circulated through it.

If you have the dehumidifier in the tent, it's too small an area, so it runs sporadically and has no chance in hell of ever actually curing your humidity problem.

Could i duct the dehumidifier into the tent? That way i wouldnt have to dehumidify my whole living room.

You could, but once again you'd be robbing Peter to pay Paul. You would still be venting air in from the living room for cooling, so you'd wind up right back where you started. You are in essence bailing out with a bucket while you have no bottom to your boat.

You've simply picked a very bad place to do your grow. There's really no way around it, you have to lower the overall humidity. The tent is so very small that the second you turn your vent fans on it's going to digress to the living room levels of humidity. Instantly.

You would be better off moving your entire operation to a bedroom or cordoned off area of a basement, or even a walk-in closet. That would give you a much easier environment to control overall for a whole lot less trouble.

Thats it. I have a 70 pint and i run exhaust 24/7 and i can lower humidity from 60-45 in less than 30 minutes. Its better to have a semi sealed room and just filter the air back in to the room that way you can remove the smell but not the dry air. May be better to setup different with a tent but i just have a room.

Cutting fan leaves for humidity control is not a solution. Maybe to get through this crop but cmon. Where do you forum growers get this shit??? Go to the sorce of the humidity problem...which is a naturally humid environment coupled with natural plant transpirtion/photosynthesis. Bro....either put at least a 70 pint in the room the tent is in....leave one side of the door unzipped and run exhaust fan 24/7..Or make room for dehuey in tent and zip it up. Leave exhaust off. Your sucking out warm dry air by leaving exhaust on...defeating your purpose. If you go the second route...be prepared to deal with the warm air the duhuey throws into the tent. I been where your at years and years ago...its a bitch.
