Man I don’t know if I want to grow sativa any - fucking - thing for a while after this tent and the next. I am on goddamn day 67 and still barely any amber showing itself. FML my veg tent is growing trees right now hahah man I fucking planted and cloned that shit to early hahaha. I’ve had about 100mg of eddies and a few woolly pops and a ton to smoke but I think I’m fucked hahaha. Tent wise I mean.429B7CCD-7FD0-4629-8F68-ADE2C045923D.jpeg03CB6F26-D419-48D4-A7AB-7AC6073DC10E.jpeg2B4C200A-CAAD-4ACF-9877-94D7E97DEB70.jpeg85ABB9AD-B67D-4C02-94CB-FE2C8C4ED9AA.jpeg

So you are bitching about them not being done in under 10 weeks? Most good strains need atleast 9-11 weeks dude. Lost need 12-13. If they are nice looking plants it should be totally worth it.
Not really bitching but lol my veg tent was not planned properly this time for a perpetual grow. I jumped then gun thinking this batch would've been done by now and veg tent would get put into flower tent. Ladies are getting almost to the point where I will run out of room once I throw em into flower. Lol. Not a terrible problem to have just have to figure out what I will do once they get to big for the 78" flower tent. Thanks for the props. They are gonna be amazing once they finish I think

I feel your pain.
When I try to run different strains, I usually run into a straggler that holds up the next cycle.
Mono cropping solves that but where's the fun...

I don't think you did so bad....

BTW - those plants look pretty damn close, if not done to me.. You can always top the vegging plants to slow them again...

Great looking stacked calyx's.....Plenty of bulk...
The thing with "amber" trich"s? Many of today's "modern" strains don't really amber up much. Some Sativa's - very little to none at all, only cloud up..

Some of those plants show some high N.. That will always slow things down.

Middle and front row look rather done...

Thing is, you gave no close up views. Hard to say much more then that..

IF they are all cloudy and look like they do. I might squeeze a week out of them and harvest....A few, I might take now.

Better if I could look closer..

You got room for at least 6 veggin plants in there along side. Toss em in and get it going

I've got three different strains in there and they are all very close with the amount of amber trichomes

I will get some good pics of trichomes tonight with the microscope. I will post em once I'm done

That's why it's nice to have two separate tents. A veg running 18/6 and a flower running 12/12. I run multiple strains every grow with plants at different stages in the flower tent. It doesn't matter when they finish or when you introduce new plants because all you need is for them to be at 12/12. Toss a long flowering sativa in the back and forget about it while flowering and harvesting faster flowering strains. All the while putting more plants in as you make room by harvesting those that are ready.

That’s what I do I have a 4x4 veg tent which is currently holding 15 plants and the 5x5 flower tent that’s killing me right now hahaha

You just started growing perpetually right? Its probably going to take you a while to dial in the time frame for things (especially if you're going to be running multiple different strains). Multiple flowering rooms would solve any timing problems, but I've always had only one smallish flower room. I've been perpetually growing for five years (off and on) and I still am throwing out plants that got too big because my timing for cloning or w.e. was off. My point is,...dont be too hard on yourself here. You got a killer crop there and if you have to throw out some plants bc they got too big,..we all do it

LST or Top them? If you dont wanna waste the top just clone it. Haha even if you don't need the clones give em to your buddies.

Ya man I want rooms and not tents. It’s coming probably sooner then later. I do have too many for my flower tent already so if I have to dump a few no sweat and there’s always the buddies that are always asking for plants but have nothing to grow it with lol

Got some trichome pics tonight. Better then the other day but they are still not ready. Buds are still growing I think. Lots of cloudy and there are some ambers but I want more this harvest. I’m gonna go the distance on this batch

Yea, I think it's almost unavoidable to have to throw some plants out when growing perpetually. That's the downside I experience....you throw you time and nutes at some plants that dont always make it which of course sucks, but the pros are you always have plants lol. So I think the pros outweigh the cons

I would double check, but I heard with many sativas, that they dont always go from clear, to cloudy, to milky, to amber. They just fo straight from clear to amber...so when you see some amber, your about ready. But someone correct me if this is wrong

I am keeping an eye on them with a loupe. Day by day from here and once they are where I want them they are going dark for 48-72 hrs. Then chop. Can't wait to taste it...in a month down the road lol

Some don't amber at all which is why you need to look at the overall plant. Some are finding amber on sugar leaves and chopping even though the flowers still have lots of white pistils. What happens is new growers hear "Amber" then spend hours using their cool USB microscope searching for amber trichomes. They find a few on some sugar leaves and are in such a hurry to harvest that they chop way too early. Then they post in the Harvest and Curing section asking why their buds aren't dense and smell like hay. Always check the trichomes on the calyx's not the sugar leaves.
