Do you not recognize the value of having diversity on a team? Is that such a difficult idea for you to grasp?

Diversity is great as long as you have the best people for the job. She is qualified for the position but Biden specifically said he would nominate a black woman so that excludes a lot of people who may be better.

He might have a guilty conscience from his lifetime of racism but I doubt it.

In my mind it's as simple as the US is a diverse multicultured country and the Supreme Court should be a reflection of that diversity.no prob. w/Biden coming out saying he would add a woman of color prior to the opening it was long overdo,I'd have no prob. if he claims he will add a Asian American to the bench if another slot opened up during his term,the more the court reflects our society the more it shows the US strives to represent it's diversity.

Spam troll might have a point if Biden had no clue who he was thinking about picking prior to saying he would be choosing a black woman for a SCOTUS seat.

But that would be stupid to assume since he was running for president and highly prepared with a great team behind him already. He wasn't half assing the most important job in our nation like Trump did. To think he didn't already have a handful of highly qualified judges (long overdue for the promotion) in mind when he said that is a byproduct of the 'both sides' propaganda (at best).

Welcome to the last part of Day Two.

Chairman Durbin is opening and bestowing accolades on Judge Jackson for enduring yesterday with what President Biden called "Grace and Dignity."

I agree with Durbin that for some senators it was about November 2022 rather than a SCOTUS appointment.



Lets see what the last two Senators have to say.

And now Kennedy is also bitching about the Chairman's leadership.

Grassley is Whaa Whaa-ing about the release of some sort of "probation data" of those guilty of being in possession of child Pornography.
The truth is that the Republican's attack on Judge Jackson fell on it's face because those Republicans didn't get the memo when the Democrats did.
Yes it was sneaky but not all that sneaky. The Probation data was available to all at the same time but naturally Republican's were not on it fast enough.

I still think it's just a ploy for Republican's to shift their failure on to Democrats.

Yeah it is pretty sad that they didn't just read it in the Washington Post five days earlier when the insurrectionist RINO's started their kiddy porn fetishing.

I have to agree with the premise that Judge Jackson *IS* much more like the regular "Americans."

Also I would say that the first Black Woman through the "Old-Boy's Door" will get a bloody nose and she sure have taken a few punches yesterday.

I was impressed with after all the effort to grind her down to very tired and over taxed that I could hear the person in her voice and it was what the SCOTUS needs in my opinion and that is a real "Modern American."
