DABUPP's CFL Growing Adventures

So guys I need your opinion. I have been thinking about cutting it down to a one plant operation because of space limitations and the fact that taking care of two is much more work than just one. I will probably be sticking with Ms. Smalls clone, though I will include pictures of both so you call can decide. Ms. Tall's clone has some issues with its stem that I can't quite explain. I will include Ms. Small's Clone in this posting.

This is Ms. Tall, along with her stem issue and a picture of her node that ran into the lights overnight. I think its obvious that Ms. Small's clone is better, but I would love to hear your opinions on it.

Now my other idea is to always take two clones from the same plant, even though I will only be moving forward with one of them. Sadly, this will mean one less node for harvest and one that is essentially being "wasted" as it will be destroyed. Though, this process always allows me two clones incase one goes bad, and also to pick the better of the two. Here are my current two, which one would you say? I would probably say the more bushy one. Once again, input please!

one larger plant will always out weigh two smaller plants.
Yea, thats what I'm thinking. If I dedicate alot of lights and alot of space to one plant I think I can make her great, rather than just both being good. Any input on which ones?

go with the one that you liked the smoke from better. at that age it is almost impossible to tell which one would be better.

Yea I'm going to be doing a taste testing tomorrow to figure that out. Honestly hope it is Ms. Small, she is a joy to work with.

Ms. Small is staying, they are bothbsimilar but Ms. Small is more potent. Trying to find a home for Ms. Tall before killing her.

Hey everyone, sorry that there hasn't been any updates lately. Been smoking alot! Haha, that is true but school started up so I have been busier than normal. Ms. Tall's legacy is now dead, and I only have Ms. Small's genetics to work with. Currently I have the original Ms. Small clone, which from here on our will be referred to as just Ms. Small II, and I have two clones from here that are both doing well.

I have however, run into issues with Ms. Small. Last time I grew both plants I added neuts before they ever requested it, and it turned out to be a big mistake. They both suffered burns throughout the grow and probably effected end yield (which was 32g+ woo!). None the less, this time around I have added no neuts to her, and I woke up to these pictures today. Anyone have any ideas? I am thinking Potassium or Phosphate def? Tell me if its something else, surely not overwatering (if anything underwatering).

man that is burned pretty bad. maybe a flush would help ya. deficiencies take days and mostly weeks to show signs. burns show signs overnight. this is why i suggest burn. how is your PH?

I still don't have anything to regulate PH with. She isn't burned anything near what the other girls were, just pictures are better! Haha :/ Either way I will flush her when I get home.

even if ya happen to have one of those cheap swimming pool testers you could get by. to regulate the PH you can use household items like lemon juice, or vinegar for PH down and baking soda for up. If you flush with bad PH it will only get worse.

but if you have been growing all this time with that same water then it probably isn't an issue at all.

and congrats on the 32 grams!!!

Its been a while since my last update, so I took some pics for you all. The main plant seems to be better, I flushed her, gave he some water and a very light dose of nutes. You can see in the picture there is much less discolorment across the leaves and the green has turned a bit more normal from the lime-green it was before. Both clones are growing quickly and doing well.

Was smoking some of the harvest, and wanted to give you all a picture or two of it. The one with the darker brown/red pistols was Ms. Small. The one with the lighter brown pistols (thats smaller) was Ms. tall. Enjoy!
