Thanks guys, I'm really excited this time because the last harvest was my best so far (as far as quality is concerned) and this one's going to be even better. The new bulb has really helped them progress much faster than the last cycle using the old bulb, and I'm learning to listen to my plants better all the time so I think the end product is going to be really great this time. This time I'm really going to try to flush the hell out of em for almost 2 weeks before harvest, and I think I'm going to do the 48 hrs of darkness at the end again too. Can't hurt!

FYI the Super Skunk is really growing on me...at first I wasn't that impressed with it but now that it's cured to perfection the taste has improved a lot. I really like the high from it, it's really balanced and a great all-around smoke. It also trims up really easy so that scores big points in my book too. Everyone that tries it seems to really like it too. I would definitely recommend this strain for someone seeking a very balanced high and an easier-than-usual trim job.

Yours if probably [Hindu Kush x Skunk #1], which I thought was another strain like Master Kush or something but shit there's like 25 Kush varieties now so who knows. Plus it's prob the breeder you bought from's version of someone else's stuff anyway. That's why I like to trade genetics locally with friends and make my own beans. It's not that hard to lock down a badass pheno. It IS hard to be able to recreate it faithfully in seed though. That's why if you make your own beans and grow out at least 10 females from em you're sure to get something pretty special. It may not have a name already, and you might not see a pic of it in High Times, but you'll have a killer mom to clone and keep you in supply of great ganj.

Man, I kick myself hard for not cloning some of the plants I've grown in the past that were special. And they were special even though my buddy made the seeds and my inexperienced ass grew em out!

Here's a pic of the Kush plant, the [Cinderella 99 x (NLxWR)], and the Bubblegum x SAGE plants that I should have kept but just didn't take the time to clone because I didn't think they were going to be that good. That was before I flowered em though!

damn DC, you really know how to make a guy weak in the knees! damn. some amazing looking plants. the third one looks like one humongous nug, i will have dreams of her. i feel you on the strains though, we're all growing off-bred step children, and that's half of the excitement. thanks for the pics, very encouraging!

Looks Cinderella Dom to me :p
Actually, it was prob about a 50/50. It really frosted up like the Cindy, and it had the great pineapple smell...but it grew like an indica candelabra with much more bud mass and a much shorter stature. It also had a hint of chocolate/coffee to it which was very nice. It still finished in 7 weeks too, but with better yield.

Yeah, I should've kept that one huh?! :dunce: = ME!

Yessir, I'm at day 35 of flowering and things are doing just fine! Snapped a few more pics of the girls.

I mixed up 2 gallons of Ph'd distilled water last night and added 12 ml of Clearex to each for a bit of a halfway through flower flush. Spread it out amongst all of em, so while they didn't get a hardcore flush they did get a little one and since they are looking beautiful with no signs of nute burn at all this should be just fine for now. I'm only going to water with nutes for about 2 more weeks anyway, then it's going to be plain distilled every day after that. I like to give the girls a little mini-flush every time I switch from one nute regimen to another throughout the plants' life cycle. I also water with just plain distilled about every 3 -4 waterings along the way as well.

So the first 4 pics are of the Super Skunks, the next 2 are of the HashBerrys only, the next 2 pics are group shots again, and the last pic is of the Clearex solution.

Thank you very much guys. Even though I've still got like at least a QP left to smoke on while these finish up I just can't wait to try this batch when it's done! They look even better this round than the last, and this time my focus is on the final flush. I want these girls to fade out nicely and be smooth as hell to smoke. Eventually I want to work toward growing organically, but for now I think synthetics are fine as long as you flush them really well at the end. So I'm just psyched about getting these girls flushed well this time because that's the one thing I know I can improve on. So let's see what true colors come out of these things when the flush is on here soon. Only about 2 more weeks of nutes left to go!

how long do u flower the super skunk?
I would call it an 8 - 10 week strain. I cut half of em at 8 weeks last time, and let the other half go for 9. This time I'm aiming for 9, and if a couple of em need 10 weeks then I'll let them go until they're done. I want to get about half cut with more cloudy trics, and the other half with more amber for two different effects.

How big are the containers?

They look very very nice

Great job
Thanks. Well they're all in these 'kort' hydro buckets which I believe are .75 G, except for 2 SS's which are in little half gallon pots (I ran out of bigger pots last time cause I had plants in flower, plants in veg, and clones too). I know everybody says small pots hold em back, and I'm sure they do, but I haven't really noticed any sizable decrease in bud mass with using the smaller pots. Next run I think I'm going to try using all 1.5 G pots and see if there is a corresponding increase in yield, but for now I seem to be getting good results even from a 3' SS plant in a half gallon pot.
