CXB3590 & leaf yellowing

I've had fine results with bud and Tricome production using CXB3590 with 2700K, 3000K and 3500K but I have experienced a tremendous amount of yellowing of all of the larger leaves. This has happened with Ocean forest soil and with Coco. PPM has been low, Using Cal-Mag throughout in keeping Magnesium and Calcium levels up. Using Bud-A & Bud-B for ferts and Aptus for supplements. With soil the pH was between 6.3-6.5 and with Coco 5.3-5.5.

I never had this happen with my outdoor & HPS grows, just with the COBs. Seeing as the buds are very nice, giving an excellent yield and the COBs are so much cheaper to run, I'm happy but the yellowing makes me wonder if others using COBs are having the same yellowing?

If so, how do you keep those leaves green all the way through?

feed strengths? cobs make plants healthy which makes them hungry, which makes us hve to feed just a bit more.i had to bump all my cob stuff from my normal 500-600ppm to 750 to 850ppm to keep them green

I'm just finishing my first COB grow and the leaves are blasted out yellow. Due to external circumstance, I wasn't really into doing this round. It's my second grow using mapito. I ramped up the nutes to soon and had N toxicity, then I underfed the plants for too long. I turned on all my luminaires and gave the young plants way too much light early on.

The excess photons were more of a factor than the nutes, I believe. The runt pheno grown in the shade of its sisters is the only plant in the room I'd call green.

If any leaves turn themselves vertical (instead of the normal horizontal), I'd say that is a symptom of too much light. People say "praying leaves" are a sign of a healthy plant, reaching for the light. I'm thinking now it is a reaction to excessive light.

my girls are yellowing up early as well. plants under my cxb 3070 bar stay green till the end. plants under my cxb3590 bar start to yellow at the end of week 5 beginning of week 6' on my 8-9 wk strain. The yellowing didn't start until I started using mammoth p. Everything else remaines the same in the tent. Enviro, humidity, air circ, light height etc..
@sanjuan I do now wonder about that praying statement. I'll raise my 3590 bar next round and see if that alleviates the yellowing.
@sixstring2112 are you running jacks? I may try bumping up the ec. on a few plants next run as well. I did notice, my ppms of my tap water decrease once thr weather here changed. Went from 245-250 to 170-185. I usually mix tap and ro 50/50. I wonder if the missing minerals in the tap attribute to early yellowing. Was at 1.5 ec Now I am at 1.3-1.4.

The feed strengths have been followed exactly by the recommended feeding by Heavy16 & Aptus. The PPM ranges around 1100. With that, I have two feedings a week and with watering I add Cal-Mag and SeaGreen & correct the pH as needed. At first the plants (leaves) were perfect and were up to 1/2 the way through bud, then they started the yellowing. Since that never happened with HPS, I'm wondering if its the COB intensity 50W/COB with 16 COBs over a 4' x 8' area.

From what I've read, 800W over that footprint is not too much COB. I haven't read of others having this issue with lighting but I have read too much LED can harm tricome production so I keep the lights 16" from the tips. Since it always happens, I'm thinking it is LED related but that's a guess.

I am a first time grower using COBs. My plants started to yellow on their first true leaves (i cut them off) on 6/6 phenos I think.

This fucker has been @ 700ppm or 1.4ec for the full 8 weeks and is on her 4th day of water only and i cant seem to get her to fade.now i must say i feed every day. @CoB_nUt i just went over my nutes in a pm and shoulda just done it in my thread because i seem to get asked alot lol.
I run the jacks when im home and use ionic when im gone because it works better in a res over a few days, its more ph stable and doesnt fall out like jacks will.this time of year i leave town alot to hunt and ride sleds so its prob 30% ionic and 70%jacks.
I dont ever just water only unless im done with her like this bitch.she got a heavy dose of molasses and humic acid on monday and now its just water till i get some fade.shoulda stopped feeding her at 7 wks but i just been busy and lost track of where she was.i never water to runoff just a gallon per day on the newer shit and 1.5 gal on the older shit.
As for the praying thing,i only see it on the healthier stuff so i would say its not too much light just my experience. I run about 55 to 60w per square foot on the hid side and im only running about 30 to 40w per sq ft on this cob side right now.this plant is using about 400w of cobs, parked under a 4 x 75w fixture and reaching for about 100w next door haha.

I run my plants under HPS at 1.0 ec - 1.1 max
Same plant under the CXB3590s are eating themselves they're that hungry.
Ive upped the feed to 1.5 ec and they are now looking healthier
