I have 2 cxa3070 at 1.12 each and 1 cxb3070 at 1.88. Ambient temps are about 70-72, grow temps are 76 at canopy level at 8" and usually between 81-83 at the very top of the cab. Small space 19x36. I have a backup fan programmed to kick on when the temps exceed 85 at the top of the box but that's only happened a few times during the heat of summer. Only my second run with it. For reference upper box temps would hit 90 without the secondary fan and would continuously cycle on and off with it with the 8 bulb cfl rig with a mix of 23 and 26 watt bulbs.

I'm coming from a 600 hps that I can only run 3 to 4 months out of the year because of excessive heat so I'm looking forward to a light I can run flowering all year round. Gaius was running 8 cxa 3070's and his temps in a 3' x 4' closet were only 3 to 5 degrees warmer then the ambient. I'm pumped about this build... :)

8 CXB3590 3500K CD bin 23W, 64% efficient = 184 dissipation W = 118 PAR W *.9 losses = 106 PAR W into the canopy and 66W of heat into the heatsink
in a 2X2 = 26.5 PAR W/ft² or 1318 PPFD averaged
in a 2X3 = 17.7 PAR W/ft² or 879 PPFD averaged
in a 3X3 = 13.3 PAR W/ft² or 662 PPFD averaged
Hey can I get a link where I can find this numbers? (what cobs and drivers go together)... I just want no heat no matter the costs... I made a 4 cxb3590 (36v) on a 1400 driver but the heat is to much... I can fry eggs on the heatsink
