Four would be better of course, and you could dim down actually if you don't want the full 928 ppfd in that area.

You wouldn't need that much for cooling purposes, I'm not sure how much we want minimum for fresh air for the plants though. I pump heat into the grow room still, house is too cool to get that ~80℉ we want under the canopy. But I keep the fan up for smell.

You can go cheaper if you source yourself. Or running slightly lower efficiencies. 4 x cxb3070 at the same watts as cxb3590 still puts a ppfd of 830 in that sized space. Or running cxb3590 at higher wattages, 3 x cxb3590 at 63w each gets that same ppfd of 830 for 189w through the leds instead of 200w with the 4 x 3070s. Lotta different options.
How do you calculate the ppfd for these cobbs? I'd like to know what I'm at with my 8 cxb3590's in a 4x3

Led watts * efficiency = par watts, par watts * QER = PPF, PPF/sq meters = ppfd of a specific space.

Assuming 50w per.

400w * 56% = 224, 224 * 4.65(3500k 80cri) = 1041, 1041 / 1.12 (12/10.7(sq ft to sq meters)) = ppfd of 929 for a 4'x3'
Thanks they are about 50 watts. I appreciate you taking the time to get back with me

Did 20029 ship?
yes packed and waiting for DHL. Need to advise you I have upgraded you with two new Pairui drivers that we have been trialling, these come with adjustable output current option, but in all other respects identical to the normal driver which we have also shipped 2 of, so hope you like these.
Cheers

Huh weird. I was looking at solderless triple 660nm photo red XP-E x5 and LDD-700 to run them. I also need a small power supply, but the Meanwell RS-150-48 seems a bit overkill for my needs... you got anything smaller like RS-50-48? cheers
