I Noticed A 10-15% More Mass After Drying When I Started Using Herculean Harvest In Weeks 5 Till End.:weed:

That goes with what our friend @GreenSanta was saying bout adding more organics to the plain salts.

Definitely will try this approach to the grows. Although I don't really think the plant will have the time to break up and use all of this in a 90 day grow like we do, meaning the guanos. I better start to grow some soil then.

I highly recommend it. Organic soil forever here, look at the SIP (Sub Irrigated Planter), honestly if I wasnt a perpetual hobby grower I would have a room setup with nothing but SIPs. Again it's because mines are not on wheels and I cannot move them if I could move them I would probably do strictly SIP from now on... down the road for sure.

I have 3 builts so far, my built is one of the simplest, I use 55 gallons plastic drums, I cut them 2/3 of the way up. So around 25 gallon of soil and 15 gallon reservoir. I drill a hole at around 1/4- 1/3 of the way up, closer to a third, that's the overflow drainage hole, I use corrugated drainage pipe, around 4-5 feet, helps your reservoir hold more water (you can buy it covered with a landscape fabric sleeve or you can buy landscape fabric to wrap around) , coiled at the bottom, I hook my 2'' pvc pipe to fill the reservoir cut at angle at the bottom to the corrugated pipe. The rest of the reservoir is plain sand , over the coil and in the center down to the bottom (I bought at walmart...) a piece of landscape fabric, or 2, to prevent the roots from growing too much into the reservoir ( I have yet to dig one up and see what it looks like in the reservoir after harvest ) the rest is my recycled re-amended supersoil mix with lots of castings, mulch ( so far I like comfrey mixed with hay, food for the worms at first ) lots of red wigglers, then I transplant and use a garbage bag to cover the whole pot except a slit for the plant. Sorry, dont forget to water from the top the very first time, before putting the garbage bag, get that mulch wet but don't over water, the cleaner you keep that reservoir, the better, after that it's nothing but water (from the tap for me) dont fill the reservoir with teas or anything. Now you could theoretically feed halfway through flowering via watering under the garbage bag if you needed to but so far my plants have stayed healthy to the end.

-1 that I am about to harvest round number 2, Massive yield on round number 2. After harvest number 1, I simply top dressed with more worm castings and mulch, transplanted, and off they went. I am so sold on the SIP. So low maintenance, no guess work when it comes to watering, simply keep the reservoir full which for me requires every 2-3 days, but I could go longer, I like to keep near full.

-I just harvested one of the other 2 and the yield was awesome, great healthy plants with massive nugs top to bottom. I do use side lighting.

-The last one is about 2 weeks from harvest and it's going to be one highest yield for a single plant for me, it's in a 3x3 tent, with only 270watts LEDs (2 VERO29 and 1 old Kessil magenta) and lame old t5s on 3 of the 4 corners.

The downside for me is since I do perpetual and don't have the veg space, I don't get to veg my plants in the SIP, so I go from 1 gallon to 25, I transplant at lights on so they essentially get an extra day before flowering kicks in, I rely strictly on the stretch, if you can veg and train, OMG!!

I bet if you give it a try you will thank me later, one more thing, one of the big up for me, though it seems that way so far, is that it reduces overall humidity, reduce water waste as well. Because all the humidity from the reservoir and soil is trapped in under the garbage bag, and since you never water from the top the top layer do dry out throughout the grow cycle and you do not get anaerobic bacteria taking over.

One thing I found to be true, even more so in the past (blurples era) anyone making the switch from hps to LEDs always had to adjust their feeding schedule if using chemicals but organic growers don't have to change a thing. So my one recommendation would be to go organic.

Furthermore, I too have a room with mostly 3500k and the yield is there I think, couldn't tell you a gpw because it's perpetual but from what I am seeing now, I would say SIP + COB = way to yield big.

I'm curious about the feeding schedule changes for chemicals you mentioned - what sort of adjustments are needed when switching?
 
Hi Huygens. Awesome setups youve got going. Were you able to notice the RH in the last 3-4 weeks of flowering? Damn you GreenSanta, just as I was happy with my hempy buckets you lay this shit on me! Know Im all about reading this stuff

I make a tea and use it in hydro. works great. I also use the tea for vegetables too. I also use carbo load for effect. I am sure once you dial in the lumens you are looking for light closer or farther will give you the desired outcome. 50w/sf should give great yield. You know your genetics, so it is just a matter f dialing git in, I think. As an old biker I learned not to be to quick to fix something or if unhappy with outcome go back and undue what I did last. Rinse and repeat is the key.

You the man @GreenSanta, awesome info, I will have to give it a go myself at least once.

@MildGro, yes about 8/10% humidity left in the bud.

@benbud89 , RH was low, around 40ish, we had two A.C.s on the last few weeks blowing at full chat because of a heat wave. So the moisture was sucked out of the air by the AC.

@VegasWinner, I do use on the tent OG TEA right now. On the big room my friend is using it as a top dressing once a week. Thank you for the encouraging words brow, we will work this out.
