I would love to add red to this setup, perhaps you guys can help me build a bar of reds to install between the CXBs, I feel We could have gotten more mass on the buds.
The only thing I can imagine is spectrum missing. Maybe you guys can help me on that. @Growmau5, @SupraSPL, @Greengenes707 @stardustsailor? !HELP!

I was looking for info about adding reds and UVB like you did @Growmau5 . When the buds were harvested they looked e weighed great, but as the water evaporated the mass went with it. Do you guys think it may be spectrum the lack of mass? We got something like 0.65 grams per watt, not really the target. I know we can do way more with this setup.

Temps around 80 all the way.
PlantProd 7-11-27 (Like Jacks 3-2-1) With Cal Nit.
Coco with perlite on a dripper.
Even Canopy : 1000+ umols

I read a bunch about spectrum and adding monos. But I am not sure the lack of mass comes directly from the lack of reds, the room is 7000W pure 3500k 36V @ 1.8A.
I have a good experience growing with HPS, not much with this new technology. Big investment to get low GPW. Have to sort this out for the next one.

Any ideas on what can I tweak?

One thing I found to be true, even more so in the past (blurples era) anyone making the switch from hps to LEDs always had to adjust their feeding schedule if using chemicals but organic growers don't have to change a thing. So my one recommendation would be to go organic.

Furthermore, I too have a room with mostly 3500k and the yield is there I think, couldn't tell you a gpw because it's perpetual but from what I am seeing now, I would say SIP + COB = way to yield big.

Even with 3500IK I find additional Far Red and IR helps thc and schedule production. There is a video how to build Far red bar by Growmau5 on youtube. You.can use an meanwell lps-700led driver can drive 12 Far red 3w leds. All you need is a timer for 15-30 minutes at lights out. T^he 630nm can be found at both rapidleds and stevesleds along with the driver. You will need a timer to control the on/off functionality. Perhaps more Royal Blue during veg will give you more closer node production before flower, creating more flower sites. nice grow. I am sure you will figure out the production issues you are seeking.

1.0 g/pw out of pots with no topping isn't bad. You want bigger numbers without growing trees then its all about making lots of tops imo and some form of scrogging. The scrog brings the big numbers. Math is simple: increase number of tops and watch yield follow. Secondarily I'd look at my strain. Get a known big yielder and good scrogger. A strain with lots of side branching can eliminate your need for much scrogging if you want to stick with pots and skip the screen.

Edit: Your cola density actually looks good now that i look at it again.. They seem a bit short though. I switched to flower at 28" with a kush, Doubled yield from a switch at 20".. Lot of tertiary branching popped after hitting that 2ft+ mark. Harvested sizes were 44"-50" @ 28 vs 36" @ 20" switch.

Thank you
In your experience can reds really be the culprit?

Maybe you just glanced over the thread...
That is exactly what we do if you check the images in the first page, the big room. Topped 5 foot trees. Each with 6 tops or more.
I have been growing with HPS for ages getting 1GPW. Using the exact same approach...

when you used the hps did the setup look the same, like narrow rows with similar plant spacing ? idk but looking at your pics it sure looked like you would hit 1gpw easy.in my limited exp i see the plants need alot more food under led so maybe its as simpe as bumping the ec up and running clones with the better yielders.i run a shit ton of dif strains also and yields def suffer growing that way,but mono cropping is lame imo .

I though that as well, but when the buds dried there was almost half the mass in there, not that they were airy, but missing mass... Some strains more than others, but all garden is the same.

Whoa. Didnt realize those were six feet.. My sense of scale definitely off. I see it now looking more closely. -Well, i was smoking and just typing and thinking, lol. I'm a little concerned about the numbers too then.. Well.. It's a big enough space you can mix it up a little. Try a different soil blend/ feed?

I spent an hour with Mr. @Growmau5 on this subject, and got a lot o great info and will try some new things, but basically we narrowed it dow to lack of PK boost in flower and of course I will try and use the light that I am losing on each open side. Thanks man for all the info and patience by the way...

Making some calculations later, after we spoke I realised that if I just planted two of the heaviest yielding strains OG#2 and RKS, I would have reached at least 0.96 GPW.

So some of it was down to small plants and low yielding phenos. So that explains why the point was so way off the graph when it comes to GPW.

But I think there is a lot more to get from this room, obviously.
