Creepy

Something that makes a person creepy, is a person with unknown intentions that dosent seem to offer at least a casual rapport.Either that or they hide in the bushes by the public bathrooms with a pair of binoculars just waiting and baiting.Man or woman it dosent matter, they can both be creepy as hell, even if good looks or not.At least you can half way expect creepiness with someone that is butt ugly, the good looking ones are alot more creepy, its like a hot chick who is damaged goods will be the one to stalk you in dark places then jump you like a predator with the intention of murdering you after acquiring a bit of trust, gotta lookout for those types.

Hm... rape vibes, murder vibes, thief vibes, not having any clue what's going on in that person's head vibes...

Oh, and text messages can be a lot more telling about how creepy a person is then what you see in person...

... snip ...
Agree about text messages being telling.

So, a person who doesn't want you knowing their every detail creeps you out? And, what makes a person give off "rape vibes." I'm guessing that one's an inflated sense of self. There's absolutely nothing wrong with a person willing and able to kill, either. If we didn't have them, there'd be no police, military, or even "Heros" that stop other crimes. People always assume that they know others... Just because a person is constitutionally capable of committing a violent act doesn't mean they are going to, or are prone to.

Yeah... well, I'm a girl, so I'm going to find males a lot creepier than females because I'm not concerned about them raping me. Guys also seem to be a little more overtly sexual in situations where they probably shouldn't be... I know far too many guys that give off a MAJOR creepy vibe because they make it oh so obvious that they are only speaking to you in hopes that you'll suddenly rip your clothes off for them or some shit haha.

Oh, but I did know this one girl who thought she was a wolf and would get up in the middle of the night and crawl around on all fours, making weird noises, oh and the best part is that she would piss on the floor and shit... total creepiness right there.

But... creepiness is entirely subjective... people probably think I'm creepy too, and I can be lol.

You're dead wrong about women, and the "raping." Women can be MUCH more vicious and brutal. Women also occasionally orchestrate sexual assaults against other women. Not as rare as you'd think ("Ken and Barbie killers" are rare, but rape duos are pretty common.) Do you ever wonder WHY you get those vibes and texts? Unless you work in a service industry that implies that you may partake in frequent sex with multiple partners, or you dress very provocatively, it's not the norm for guys to just walk up and start drooling and trying to get you to rip your clothes off.

Nice, mocking a person with what appears to be a serious disassociation disorder, and schizophrenia. I don't think you're creepy, just a bad person.

Me, I'm creepy. I use me as a judge of character. If you bother MY sense of well being, you're creepy.

So I thought this was a pretty interesting subject when I read about it.. I was wondering your thoughts..

What makes someone or something creepy?

Now, before you answer, consider the exact same things said that you think you might consider creepy on the surface... Now consider if someone who you find attractive said/did it and compare the outcome of that situation with the possibility that someone you find unattractive said/did it... Seriously consider this and be honest with yourself... Does a person's physical appearance contribute to outward perception of creepiness? Do you think the gender matters? Why/why not?
whomever makes you feel uncomfortable.

I do an impression of this guy just to creep my wife out.
Omg. I would totally hang out with this guy. I feel like he'd have excellent fashion advice.

You get used to 'creepy' people after working at the Renaissance faire for a few years. Probably because you just become one of them...

See that's my problem with the DSM and any other 'standard' of who is and is not creepy. It is a statistical survey of the belly of the snake (bell curve here), with standard deviations away from those most represented being classified as odd, scary, ill.

What most, who are distributed toward the median, see as a mental illness are the people who make the discoveries and push us into a mostly better future. The outliers improve the curve overall. That's a problem, we have a tendency to shoot ourselves in the foot by embracing familiarity rather than attempting to understand those who seem aberrant to us. Sadly the outliers are who might take us to the stars.

I find regression to the mean creepy.

Sup pada, is this related to the post in reddit today?

http://www.reddit.com/r/science/comments/1hz9so/unwanted_sexual_attention_drives_homosexual/

It's about how getting hit on by someone you're not into is creepy and freaks people out, even more so if they are gay. Its prob just as bad for people who are deemed unattractive aswell.

Maybe it's more to do with how good your social skills are rather than looks. I know a few straight guys who girls have labelled as creepy and I really feel for them. One in paticular is really shy and I'm sure its not helped. He's just a bit awkward socially. Some girls can be cruel.

Nah, it stemmed from a podcast I was listening to, they were talking about how if an attractive guy tries to get into a girls pants, she'll usually view it as charming, flirty or confident, while if an unattractive guy does it, it's automatically creepy.

Another good example is a story I read on reddit from a girls perspective, she was sitting on the bus and at one of the stops a guy handed her a picture he drew of her while riding the bus as he got off, just a quick sketch, and she thought it was super sweet and charming. Now if an unattractive guy did that, HOLY SHIT would that be seen as creepy, for sure!

Lol. Weelllll... My response wasn't entirely serious, but since you're all butthurt over it, I guess I'll give a more serious reply.

When did I say someone was creepy if I didn't know a persons every detail? I said when I can't figure out what's going on in a persons head, like I can't for the life of me understand why someone would stand on the side of the road and flash kids in cars that are passing. That shit happened to me at a water park - I had a creep follow me around when I was about 12 years old and would pull out his dick if I happened to look in his direction. That's what I was referring to, situations like that.

Rape vibes absolutely exist haha, sorry. For example, a group of sketchy guys making obscene gestures while I'm somewhere alone at night. A decent person should know that a girl at a gas station in a less than ideal part of town, alone, at night, might not be at ease with some guys cat calling and making gestures. It's not an inflated ego - it happens to every girl I know. Where do you live?? Outside of a city? Because I live in the city with some bad parts of town, and I have to ignore a lot of creeps attempting to get my attention.

Lol and yeah... Self defense and killing to live is great. But if you're giving me the vibe that you might not have a problem with killing me, yeah sorry, I'm going to think you're creepy.

Not the norm?? Um, have you ever been to a bar with predominately men? Come on... I feel like we must live on different sides of the world or something because there are a LOT of disrespectful dudes out there that like to get drunk with some friends and try their hardest to make sure everyone comes home with a girl. I don't dress provocatively, I dress pretty modestly, actually. I'm not an escort or a stripper. I never said women don't give off the creepy vibe either.

LOL. Talk about assumptions... dissociation disorder and schizophrenia?? ACTUALLY, she's into some sort of japanese animal subculture... She makes it into like a sexual thing for her. I don't know about it, and it's about as creepy to me as some other fetishes out there... Sorry that offends you. But I think it's pretty offensive that you assume she has a severe mental disorder. She might, but she appears to be fully functioning to me.

fuckin' n00b kids.

go to bed, it's late

EDIT:

Sorry for fuckin' your thread up OP. I do think that me, in person should be the absolute epitome of "creepy" tall, handsome, intelligent, extremely polite and charming. A true gentleman, always maintaining eye contact. Devoid of any feeling toward you, whatsoever. We recognize each other, and recognize those who think they are, but aren't. Why doesn't "normal" recognize us?
