Correct Lumens

My budget only allows me to run six two foot floreucents, each giving approx. 3400 lumens each equaling 20,400 lumens, full spectrum (Kitchen/Bath bulb for natrule color), keeping my watts around 120 to 170. The person at my local Hydro/Indoor grow shop taught me I needed 20,000 lumens. My space is 4x2. I've keept the light 1 to 2 inches from the canopy, topped 4 nodes down, feed them base nutrients as well as boosters. My buds are only about 1/2 in tall and the diameter of my pinky, they are in their sixth week of flowering, they have filled out nice but still so small. Are ther any tricks of the trade to inhance bud growth without having to spend a lot of $$$$$ for the light system I realy want, which puts out 20,000 lumens with 2ft. T-5 bulbs individualy made to give off the blue or red rays, but until then what can I do?. (This is obviousely not as easy as outside; but I have no where to grow.) And thank you for any help you can provide.

To enhance bud growth... without adding lights. Bring the florescent bulbs just 1/2 inch closer? hit em with more 1-10-3 or something similar, *bat shit* obviously co2 would be a big help, you may be able to do this cheeeep depending on how resourceful you are.

You want to change out your bulbs pronto. full spectrum means 5500k - it looks full spectrum but is not actually. For flower you want a 3:1 ratio of 2700k bulbs and 6500k bulbs. This should make a pretty big difference. I would also suggest some good fertilizers.

Or toss in some CFLs of the correct spectrum.

*Lowes and Wal-Mart have an aquatic/grow bulb made to put out the reds and blues the plant would need but, they only give off 1900 lumens each per 2 ft. bulb. If I mix two grow bulbs in the middle and one on the ends (4) and fill the other two middle spots with my existing bulbs 3400 lumens (6 bulb total) that will give me 14,400 lumens for my space being 5ft high x 4ft length x 2ft wide. Will this be sufficient in my lighting, and if so does the seisson lengthen with less lumens? The girls never get above 3-4 ft due to the space needed for the lights. And of corse the other helpful tips will fall into place as far a feed and soil.

even though theres not really enough light there still only 6 weeks in so if there 8 week flowers mine always put alot of weight on in the last couple of weeks, so they should fill out alot in the next couple of weeks, i would try and get some more light in there for the time you have left, even if you go buy a few 20 watt (100 watt eqivelent) cfl and put them in. good luck

p.s for another 80 watts you could get rid of those lights and put a 250 hps in there.
