Roseman and purpdaddys guide for my Bubbleponics setup from Stealth Hydroponics

Hi Roseman,

Love your tutorials, very informative... I use the same system just a different set up.. I use a DWC system with difference.. I have individual pots all connected to the one reservoir... Same thing just different....lol..:-P The other big diff is I am a 1000Watt HPS user although the other day I threw in a 400watt Metal Halide to fill a dark spot in my tent, it should be interesting to see what happens...:weed:

Please take a quick look and tell me what you think... I've been growing on and off for years its lonely being a female grower...:-P Not too many other chicky's seem to be into it...:wall:

laceygirl, nice looking set up. Sorry to tell you but roseman has left the site. I guess he got his feelings hurt somehow.

just a few question am hoping to get answered..
Roseman said he wished he had never done the 18/6 light cycle and just gone striaght onto 24hrs light. my babies are about 2 weeks old and on there 2nd leaf node, i have them on 18/6 using a fluorescent tube. will moving over to 24 hours make them grow quicker?

also i purchased my full hydroponics kit from S.O.G site, it came with a 400watt HID light... at what stage should i move over to this, i read that you needed to use fluorescent light at first.... but how old/how big do they need to be before i change it over?

You can do 24 or 18hr. Its still a big debate. I do 24 but can see why 18 would be good. Plants do need a dark period. Photosynthesis is a process that has lots going on in the dark as well. AS far as moving to the 400. The sooner the better. You dont need to keep them under florescent light. Yes its a touch metter for clones but they will grow much faster with the 400. Just keep an eye on the temps.
 
roseman, I am just now preparring my room in the basement and it only had a heat vent and no supply or return air ducts. I cut a supply hole in the bottom of the door for fresh air but am having a problem finding a spot to cut a return whole, do i have to have a return whole in the wall somewhere or is just having the supply air whole ample. It is a basement room and I am in michigan also so it stays cool and i dont think im going to have to worry about the room getting too hot. it will probably be too cool and will need a space heater to keep it up to 72 degrees. please let me know what ya think and also i am very new here and wont really know where to look for you answer so i guess i will just check back here in a day or two, thanks
 
Question:
I am using a Stealth bubbleponics sytem. When do you stop the continuous water flow to the Rock wool cubes and plants? When you put the pump on a timer, how often should the pump send water to the cubes?
 
im a newbie and following rosemans tutorial and my plants seem to be alot taller with 4 leaves, yours seem shorter and fuller, what am i doing wrong and how can i solve it, thanks
 
you guys sold me on the fact to buy from SH and i cannot wait to get it going, Now my question is im growing in a closet that's about 4x6WL and a 6FT Height... Which lighting should i use i was going to go the route with the Dual Spectrum II Lights package with the works along with buying some other nutritionists that SH has to offer... I came to this site today clueless about majority of the things i learned.

So i figure buying that set up with the Dual Spectrum II Lights should do the trick, money is not the issue i just want the best and most accurate setup so there can be no mistakes i know this is kinda a trial and error thing where i will learn as i go but i just want to do my best and come out with a amazing grow along with a high yield.

Any input about my scenario would be greatly appreciated thanks in advance.
 
i take the feed out when the roots are good in the water. i pull the manifold off and keep the pump running so it churns the water, check on it often and when the roots get in it i unplug it.
 
I have a question for you roseman. I recently received an ezclone 120 as a gift. I followed the directions to the T. My friend gave me the machine because he was getting stem rot and now Iam experiencing the same problem. I started trouble shooting. What I found was that the misters are blasting the bottom of my cuttings with water. Shouldn't the misters be "misting the botoms, instead of flooding them"? Is it possible that my friend installed the misters in correctly(they are the red misters)? How do I correct this problem? I have been reading your posts for awhile now and you always give GREAT advice! Please get back to me, as Iam losing babies by the day. I have confidence that you have the knowledge to help me with this dilema. Thank You. kushmazter
 
hi purpdaddy, u seem to be very knowlegeable in growing systems, so i'd like to ask u a question, i'm an Italian grower and i've always been using soil for my babies.I normally harvest something like 40-50grams per plant, now, I'd like to move ahead and i would like to start with a bubbler, Do you really think that with a bubbler i'll have a much bigger yield? Can I use a 600 watts hps for lets say 12 babies? Do i need to run a small hose on each plant? If yes should i leave the water pump working 24 h?
i know that i'm supposed to let the air pump running 24/7 but i'm not shure about the water pump.
Sorry to bother you with all these questions but You and Roseman are the most knowlegeable in bebblesssss.
