He should do that! more photons and better light spread would benefit his grow immensely - those pesky leds@G.V I could kit your room out in vero 29s gen7 cs for less than 2gs . running 2400w ish. Thats plug and play .Id even throw in a wiring harness so you only have a couple plugs
e2a if it was mine id run 6 x 600w vero rigs tho.

Mate tbh, I would love a COB build. Its just the size of my groom. Calculate the amount of COB's I would need for the 3.4m x 2.4m area, I did do it once and its quite a few. 50 something I do believe.
I had a great design based around GrowMau5's 12 COB design on one of his vids, only I had intended on turning them into bars to run the length of the groom.
Sadly it was SO immense of a build and such a huge outlay I had to be realistic about what I wanted to get. And for my £1200 and no hassle install of HID I am getting more than I wanted.
All that said mate, once I have the new gaff I want 4 DWC singles running autos in a 1.2 all year round. So you may see me with either a COB or QB build yet.
What does annoy me most is that I have access to the equipment to make a spectacular framework for the build, so trust me when I say I have been itching to give the diy a bash.

You aren't qualified to give advice on said subject, but here you are anyways...if you understood the benefits to led i'd let you waffle on hassle free and let OP lap up your "knowledge"...but you just chat shit, constant shit.

I did an experiment one time where in week 4 i took every leaf off a plant that was not attached to a bud, plant grew great and had big nugs, I dont see where people think a sun leaf blocking a budsite from light helps the cause IMO and IME it only hinders it....

I haven't done a QB grow nor a COB grow, so I dont tell people they shouldn't use it, in fact I have suggested to several peopl in the past to look into LED tech for loft grows. Yet somehow, you whom have not used a 1000w de of CMH are qualified to tell the world they are shit? Hows that work?
And as for your waffle about the OP, the very first paragraph the OP mentions they are looking at 1000w HID as the alternative to LED, something I am currently using and have YEARS of experience using. I never once said the OP should not get LED, just that modern HID tech shouldn't be waved of because of LED users like yourself claiming they are the best thing since sliced bread and make HID obsolete.
And for the record here and now Lukio, I know several people that use QB's now,on-line and personally. They are brilliant pieces of kit, grow some great quality Cannabis. But they are not the Gods gift to growers you made them out to be.
You can check every single LED related post I have posted here Lukio, and I have never once said a bad word about QB's or COB's, in fact quite the opposite. All I have ever done is what any good grower should do. Advise on what they know for real to help out fellow growers.
