Our current situation is a leftover from the Cold War which we never stopped fighting even though the chief adversary ceased to exist. The Cold War is our legacy from WW II where the US emerged as the de facto 'free' world leader/cop.

It's time to resign that position, pull back into our own borders and territories, and start worrying about our own affairs.

If other parts of the globe cannot govern themselves, fuck 'em.
