Compassion Clubs - who knows more about them than nothing?

Also worth nothing that as an mmpr patient you are not legal to carry cannabis. You are able to order legal cannabis in its container.

Better make sure you bring at least one of those Tilray bags. Maybe you can fill it back up on your way out of town.
As far as I have heard - my prescription "bag" - which I carry around with me - is my prescription and "legal pass thing".

When I contacted the airline, the woman on the phone asked if I had an ATP card. I had to tell her that I was new, in the new system - and that I had something different.

I am also planning on bringing some print outs of information that someone who might give me a hard time about traveling with MMJ will need to read.

I do not plan on being arrested by an uninformed person. I will inform them - if need be.

EDIT: and I may have to have a lawyer on speed-dial.

The London club has newer lower prices and is worth asking them to allow you a visit. So set that up with them ahead of time....it will be worth it...trust me. They are good folks...just jump thru their hoops and you'll be happy. So forward the paper work and enjoy.
I believe section 56 in Toronto does allow walk-ins with your proper paper work. Well I did anyway....but they are pricey.
Set these up before you come and bring a bag of money girl....leave your boyfriend at home...have some fun

Same understanding I have.

In one of the mmpr docs it mentions that the invoice or the labeled container (bag in your case) is all that's needed.

Still super sketchy... No one seems to understand the new laws - I'm always very conscious of where my wife is medicating and try to limit any chances of run-ins with the law.

Oh - I'm not all "IN YO FACE" about it. I smoke the same amount publicly that I did before I got a prescription.

It's funny - I have been visiting home at Christmas since I moved away in 2000. The past few Christmas's, I have been blatantly smoking marijuana in my parents back-yard in a very close-proximity-homed community. I told my parents to tell their neighbours that I have Glaucoma if anyone ever asked. haha

I had NO idea at the time I could get a prescription for my crazy-ass. Glad I did!

Honestly, id rather walk around with a doctors note then the LP documentation...they would probably think the LP is a compassion club anyways lol

New club has just opened West of Guelph. Showed my Mettrum card 1st when paperwork was completed initially, but that was not sufficient. Luckily I had a copy of my ATP from doc that I was able to show. Mettrum sent my orig back to HC I guess.....

New club prices were quoted at $5/gm but upon arrival turned out to be $7. Only one strain available so far, pure indica. Nothing to write home about. Will have more edibles (they had some) oils, concentrates and a sativa coming........charged HST (into escrow account apparently) but no delivery. We are getting closer, this is better than waiting on the phone for 45 min to be disconnected by Mettrum, or finally get through and be told they have no product or the price has gone up or ..........sigh

I will continue to use my patience. And my precious supply of Lemon Diesel ....warm hugs.... ;)

When I first was signed up to BCCCS they asked if I had an ATP. So....I'm thinking that if you have a script from your doc for an LP you should be good to go. They also took my medical history.

I just think it would be nice to have options.

I live in a remote area of Canada - and options for that kind of thing (compassionate clubs) are limited. As in there are none.

I wanna see how the "other half" lives...

PLus I heard you can get baking. I have never tried anyone else's baking - except maybe like 10 years ago. And they were TOO STRONG then. hahahaha

Hey I just thought of a great idea why doesn't the government scrap this shitty LP system and just make all the cc legal. Just like the government the answer is right in front of them

Dispensaries and compassion clubs operate in a legal grey area, mostly based around the Parker court decision and the doctrine of informed consent. They are technically "illegal" but very few are ever charged criminally, even after a bust, since they are filling a need to patients.
Talked to my lawyer about this (I was considering starting one) to see if he could find any sort of loopholes but he said essentially the same thing, they are in a grey area and it's a crap shoot whether you get busted or not. He suggested to wait until things settle down a bit and the current rulings are appealed. Or risk being harassed/busted on a whim. I'm not good with authority or a-hole cops (not all are, but there's always that one guy) so I'd end up busted, maybe not for growing/selling it, but more likely punching some annoying a-hole cop. The weed thing I could handle, assault on a cop, not a good thing - lol...

On the TransCanada at that :-P
Oh sure - I'm 1-2 hours by plane, or 18 hours by car to the nearest CC club. Well - Toronto.

Sault St Marie is about 8 hours by car.

Winnipeg is 9 I think?

It's kind of like a little island here, and also the hub for most Northern communities around these parts, and a lot of Native reserves.

I think we need a CC club in Thunder Bay!

I may get scorched for saying this but, oh well, it's happened before.
It would seem to me that if you can't find herb in this country you ain't trying hard enough.
What with BL, LP's, CC's , Mailed order and your buddies who always have weed. What's the problem? I'm mean pick one.
I know youngster's that have been ordering weed via mail order for ten years now. Right off web sites. And it seems to work fine that way too.
I dunno, doesn't seem that hard to acquire if you really want to. I know, it's not easy for some. Well then try the mail order non medical services that sell weed on the net.....duh....easy and really works like they say it does.
Okay let the kickin begin......ouch....not so hard.....ya dick

You ever been to Thunder Bay?

Exactly.
You from tunder bay by? ;) My neighbours are from there, 2 of the brothers live up there now, in conversations with them they say $250-$300 oz is cheap up there in the BM, no wonder you buy online, it's probably cheaper to buy through an LP for you.

People that have always been using marijuana, recreationally or otherwise, are not the ones who have a problem getting weed.

It's the sick people, that could be benefited, but don't know enough about it. Or they are afraid. Because a lot of Canadians are afraid of things that are illegal. I am one of them!
