Isn't that the truth?

Learned a long time ago that you gotta spend money to make money. Never was it more true than when growing weed. The bigger the grow the more shit there is to break and fix. Thats why I always try to buy the best equipment and do everything right the first time.
I agree completely, if you buy something cheap you will just have to replace it later, I have learned that the hard way. I was just a little frustrated this morning because have blown thru my budget. I know it will be worth it but it’s been a long time saving to build this room and get out of the tents. Plus I was killing it in the tents and with all new lights and environment I feel gonna be an adjustment. Not to mention I still need odds and ends and room budget is gone. Looks like lots of cheap meals this month.

That is a good deal, I’m kicking myself in the ass for not just ordering a cheap unit at the moment. Hopefully the daikin unit is worth it but it’s getting fairly costly.
The thing is these arent cheap units. Other sites they are 5 grand. Close out pricing. The 5 ton units sold out in 2 days. They had 25 4ton units in stock when i purchased my 3. Bet they will be gone fast.

I don’t know anything about ideal air units really, since it has ideal air markings on the outside unit I didn’t even consider them, for you with a license it doesn’t really matter what the units say.

Awesome. those line sets look nice is that some kinda flexible tubing instead of copper, kinda wish had those if so. And yeah I didn’t want the ideal air simply because they are marketed almost exclusively to growers.

I got my mini installed the other day so far so good. And honestly if you can do the electrical yourself then the units aren’t hard to install at all. When it comes time for a new or bigger unit I’ll do it myself next time. If you are mechanically inclined at all and decent at electric just hire someone to install one of them and do the rest yourself just pay close attention. If your not hire a buddy that is that will work cheap and have him watch the hvac guy on the first one.

I know some ideal air come with precharged lines and are marketed to do it your self. If that’s the case then it’s even easier and you might be able to skip the hvac tech altogether.

Yeah ,I installed one in my home last year. It's not too bad, just requires a few special tools. Let see I bought a vacuum pump, flare tool, core removal tools, tank of nitrogen, gauges, micron gauge and misc little things. Lol.
The wiring wasn't bad at all. Add a breaker and your good to go.

Are you installing yourself or having a HVAC person do it?
Ill mount the handlers and the condensers then have an hvac guy connect lines. There is a prosess outlined in the installation manual and handler and lines have to be vacuumed as well as pressure tested a specific way. So ill follow directions and have a hvac guy connect lines.

yea flex line sets. With wire. Designed for the unit i have. No need for flare tool they are already prepared. Msrp on the 23ft 1/2 - 3/4 lines is 475. Lol. And the units like 5200. Craziest thing is these dont have the plastic cover that the voluentary recall was for. Already have the metal one. Idk why so cheap. Lady on phone said close out pricing. 25 left i got 3 and a friend got 1 the next day. Week 3 days later and they sold out the rest. They Have 3 ton left i think. They were priced 60% off. Lagardensupply gives an additional 15% off if u spend enough at one time. And free shipping to my front door. Keep getting held up at my building tho. Investor said he not buying the equipment until have security system. Adt came out and everything is already installed in building. Just adding 2 cameras. Now cox has to come hook up internet b4 adt can hook up new service. Ugh. Im so ready to do this. Honestly i think im going to killit in these uc systems. All it takes is the right equipment and a little knowledge of how hydroponic systems work. Would sure like to get 4#s per light. I estimate at 1/2 to 1# per plant. Possibly 1 1/4#. I read some guy talkin bout he hit 22oz in the 8 gal modules. One thing for sure im bout to find out first hand! Soooo cant wait!

im very mechanically inclined but i cannot pull permits for that kind of work. It all has to be code and pass inspection and that requires permits.

Didn’t think about the permits for it or the fact it takes an investor to go that large. But it makes sense I’ve run myself broke building a small 4K watt room. I hope you get up and going soon. I saw in the other post where u said u were selecting Mother’s from seed. Id keep one of those cuts your buddy gave ya and turn into a mother also. I hate running untested gear in my main flower room. Herms are rampit in newer packs of seed not to mention it takes running quite a few to find a true keeper. If he is giving you proven gear to run I’d roll with it. Do your laws allow for getting cuts from wherever, if so there are many places that you could get proven cuts from.
Find that blue dream Santa Cruz cut and you might just hit your 4 p per light and also won’t have to veg as long cause the stretch will help out with that. Either that or gmo cause it stretches like crazy too and is very popular on the market. Yeah they take a bit longer to flower but IMO the short veg will make up for most of it.

His cuts havent even been proven yet. I just want to be able to start the systems asap and not have to wait until the mothers are big enough to take 1ft cuts from. Yea it takes an investor of at least a little size. Will have about 100k-125k in it before first harvest.

Here is a good source for a few tested breeder cuts. My buddy got the Divine Gelato #3 from them.

https://westcoastconnoisseurs.com/product/in-house-genetics-divine-gelato/

The have a few others there too, Nitro Candy, Derrick Green dragon and Burnt Toast.

Prices are high but these genetics are top notch and the pheno hunt has already been done by the breeder, you get a rooted cut and you are off to the races.
Awesome, I wonder if these can ship to Canada . Really cool they have this available for ppl .

Ummmm holy hell! I shall not pay that kind of money for any cut. Pheno hunting isnt hard. The sought after pheno of each strain is the best but the others usually arent bad. Least in my expirence. U should find the sought after pheno in a 10 pack. I think i read there are usually 3-5 different phenos per batch of seeds. Not sure tho i could be wrong.

lol whatever works for ya. I have found that you need to shotgun 100 seeds to find that rare one that has the best quality and yield. You can sometimes get lucky but unless you shotgun a bunch of beans you really don't know what you don't know.

I figure it's worth it for grade A genetics that will sell very easy at highest prices. Yeah you can shotgun beans and spend a lot of time or just go right to the winner and make money.
