I'm always open to the possibility that I'm wrong and I might be the one who is close minded, in fact I think there are some topics that I sometimes realize I'm being close minded about, and this one could very well be the same. You could try to convince me.
I would have been on your side a few decades ago, when ppl weren't going crazy about micro aggressions and cultural appropriation and calling everyone a nazi and racist and whatnot, but the left has gone nuts and I can't support that.
Silly to pick a side anyway if you ask me. Why not let me decide what I think of each separate issue instead of lumping them all together and make it one team vs another.
I am mostly left leaning but I have come to understand some of the ideas of the right in the last years. I was being close minded about it and I changed my mind.
Not that I really believe in politics anymore these days. Politics has been taken over by big corporations and the politicians don't seem to care about the individual people all that much, and most ppl seem to be too easily manipulated and want to tell others what to do without having good reasons to, which we all know about here on this forum as this wonderful plant we all have in common is still being demonized a lot around the world.

I'm always open to the possibility that I'm wrong and I might be the one who is close minded, in fact I think there are some topics that I sometimes realize I'm being close minded about, and this one could very well be the same. You could try to convince me.

Even if I agreed with some things stated by conservatives that wouldn't make me a conservative, but I don't even think I would agree with a lot of what they have to say if anything, but I'm sure there could be some things they say I could agree with. I'm not entirely sure what it means to be a conservative though, so who knows. Some of their ideas are clearly silly though.
Maybe try that some time, keep an open mind to other ppls ideas even though they might also hold some ideas that you don't like, or have been given a label that you have been taught to dislike.
