Hey guys! So I'm currently 7 weeks into flowering on my first grow. Everything is going pretty well but I'm trying to think of ways to upgrade my room for the next grow. (This may be more suitable for grow room design, but I'm looking for some technical advice from more experienced growers. After all, I am a newbie!)
My current setup:
12 pot ebb and grow
I'm using the entire GH Flora line
I have 1,400 watts
1-1000 watt and 2-400 watt HPS lights.
I have a dehumidifier that keeps humity between 40-50 and just recently have dropped it to around 35.
I have an AC unit that keeps daytime temps 74-78 and nighttime temps between 65-70
I've decided that next grow I will purchase a 12 port, or smaller with adapters, air pump and run a line into each bucket. My pots never drain completely and about two weeks into flowering I noticed the lower roots were submerged 24/7.
Does anyone else use this method to help drain pots and bring air to the roots? Is it worth the purchase?
Next question is my nutes. As a newbie, I went with gh flora and I'm happy that I did. I'm more than proud of my results, at least for my first grow. The only thing is, I spent a lot of time researching and setting up my enviornment and kind of neglected nutrients. I'm honestly ignorant to which lines or additives are the best and hoping for some real advice on what to use and why.
Third question is Co2. I've done a lot of reading on Co2 supplements and it's sounds promising but is pretty pricey. I don't want to make the investment without knowing it's truly worth it. My plants grow to about 36-40 inches. I am scrogging and my canopy is about 5'x5'. With 1,400 watts, do you think I'm giving them enough light to benefit from Co2 supplement? If so, what do you believe is the most efficient way to add Co2?
Last question! I understand pics would be beneficial and I can take some when I get home (I'm at work). My colas do not look like a lot of pictures I've seen. Some of them are fat as hell but not very long/tall. I don't really have that 'ice cream done' shape that I was looking for. Is this usually cause by genetics and phenotype or do you think it's something I did?
I know it's a lot but I truly appreciate any advice I recieve. Thank you all for your time!
