CMH for Veg / LED for Flower?

I'm getting two tents setup. One will be dedicated to veg, the other flower. I'd love to get the opinions of anyone who is better than me (so that should be just about all of you).

For the flowering tent, I'll for sure be going with my 715W COB LED. But for the veg tent should I also go with a COB LED, or would there be benefit to using a 315W CMH for veg. instead?

Thanks!

I had the same thoughts on a smaller scale (100w cmh and 200w led) and had a pretty good idea. Run the cmh in the veg area 18/6 and get another bulb and socket to flip flop off the ballast and run 6 hours in the flower section during the middle of lights on.

LEC kick ass. DIY CoB kick ass.

So long as they both do good veg growth with sturdy stalks; i doubt you'll notice a big difference (if any at all).

I personally love LEC lights. I also love DIY Cree LED lights. HPS/MH come in 2nd place after those two.

If you already have the 315 CMH, use it. It'll be fine. If you're looking to buy a light, I'd buy the same one you already have. That way, if anything should ever go south (a lighting meltdown) you've still got the same light to carry on for all your plants.
