Well, I've had some of my posts uncharitably edited by some moderators right before the thread was closed... so I don't put much faith in a couple of them. I just have to wonder about how interested they are in civility as some highly caustic posts are allowed to remain, while others which are comparatively peaceful are removed or edited. I can totally see that it would be easier to allow ALL posts to stay instead of having to judge each one by some unwritten criteria, but like I said... that's not always the case; especially when a moderator may be emotionally invested in a topic.

i'm just gonna point out (again) that things were much more civil in here before nietzschekeen, gagekko, slavenomore, shotgun420, and echelon1k1 all started in with the holocaust denial, white supremacy, and rabid anti-semitism.

i say it again because it bears repeating.

It might appear to people in another subforum who haven't read your crap in this one to have no substance. Is that why you made a thread there to bicker and declare that I don't want to argue? You need to switch audiences and begin a new discussion based on something said here?

I invite them to read my crap. I made a thread somewhere other than THIS thread. I don't want to hijack it.
I didn't switch audiences... They can view that section too.

It wasn't fatuity, it was a reasonable discussion. Initiated with a statement of belief. I still stand by my statements in that post. You're discrediting your earlier pedantry by not showing your face on the thread I created. Feel free to bash me all you want there; I assure you the audience is the same. They will bash me too if I make false statements and they will even do so coherently.

I could be wrong... but it doesn't seem like threads are being edited to avoid hurting peoples feelings or cater to peoples sensitivities.
It's more like trying to make the place appear more civil/less offensive to anyone who would be looking through threads and coming up with their opinion of the place.

Maybe I'm not looking at the same closed threads that you are?

Also, It's about content... Why have all this server space filled with "You're a crybaby little bitch"?

You really need to learn to read. If you want people to believe that you teach philosophy at a college, learn the difference between ruin and render invalid.

Never had anything to do with a "white power" group.
You must be going off some twisted words and straight up lies pushed so viciously by one or two other members.
Besides if I were to start a group dedicated to discussing economics it doesn't follow that I am an economist.
Some people like to be open minded and hear other sides of arguments. I'm not even going to bother giving you the long and complicated explanation behind the thread I did start. It is still up and you can see it for yourself.

Why does it ruin your point by having someone you would never agree with on anything else agree with you or you agree with them? Instead of bringing other topics into something why not stick to the topic that is being debated? Is it a divide and conquer tactic? ub loves that kinda tactic.

I wish to make it clear that my criticism of Israel is not associated with white nationalist, antisemitic or or any other bigoted views. I actually care about Palestine.
