hell yea! i could really go for some og kush and headband...ur just missing chemdawg and sour d at your party!
Got a buddy out in cali who hooks up some sweet christmas gifts. Yeah I could have used some sour D too but I will take what I can get, haha. I was burnt all day yesterday too... takin' a break since I only have a little oil and gotta get thru to harvest... and because I like how I function better on a clear head, so don't really wanna be stoned all the time anymore anyway. Anyway... got lots of shit to do to keep me busy, haha. Soil mixing is in progress... had to run out last night for some worm castings but otherwise I got those digits... just gotta dial 'em in now. Then I'll set it up for a sit and maybe mix up some extra base mix so I can get the seedlings out of the solo cups into an intermediary size to veg in for the next couple weeks while the soil develops.

Right on, being careful, doing half-batches instead of the whole thing at once, heh. So far so good, i've been pretty physically active the last two days. My knee's acting up instead of my back, lol. But at least my back feels more stable. haha.

thats always good lol. back pain sucks...for me it just leads too me rolling around in bed all night trying to get comfortable. rather the knee ( pain while walking sounds like it could suck worse) then the back. sleep all day in bed because u cant walk...or walking around with back pain wishing u can sleep.....tough one.

I haven't taken pics because of all the complications but I'm probably gonna harvest the jackberries and the herijuana within the next week. Will take pics when harvesting of course.

Not really much to update otherwise... new babies look good, except the sweet tooth auto which I've managed to knock over in the solo cup twice now... a little damage on the bottom two leaves, probably nute burn from having worm castings stuck to them after they fell into the soil... assuming that's what it is anyway, because there's no other reasonable explanation for why a seedling so young would be showing much of anything yet... the others look fine so it's gotta be from knocking it over.

Sorry to hear you're goin through some tough times yourself there Gigs... know it's not your own grandmother but it's stressful when people we love get hit with that kinda shit too, so I feel for both her and you.

Ons and offs... kinda sucks but it is what it is. I'm at peace with it at least, regardless of how things pan out. It's taken a long time to get to the point where I can genuinely say that, but it's true.

Awww yeah, my C99 fem seeds just arrived. Free Blimburn Orka fem thrown in from attitude.

Now I gotta figure what I wanna do... I am tempted to run a shorter veg. cycle on the rasp. coughs than I had planned, and get these C99's going next to them...

good news boys and clowns... I figured out what happened with the weird nutrient fluctuations... I happened to find the old perlite bag in the trash, the one I bought at walmart... noob mistake, it has miracle-gro sprayed on it or something. It LOOKED like normal perlite, but when I look at the writing closer I see I missed the part about miracle-gro added. I was happy to find ANY perlite in walmart once winter began... shot myself in the foot with poor planning for the last time!

This soil is going to kick ass. I have a good feeling... it's all mixed. Wow that's a lot of worm castings.

I have it sitting in big black tubs in my room with a heater between the two tubs and a thermometer just to make sure it doesn't get too hot. I'll be keeping an eye on it and regulating the thermostat on the heater to work well with keeping it between 70-80 degrees.

I'm going to stir about twice a week I think... to speed up the process as much as possible... and only go for two weeks. I'm hoping that keeping it warm will be a great boon help me get away with two weeks.

In the mean time I will mix up one more batch of base mix, and transplant from the solo cups into 1 gal containers to wait out the next couple weeks. Then in about two weeks they'll get the good stuff.

Finally my attention can turn back to the flowering ladies tomorrow... I'm gonna mix a light feed for the ones I'm gonna harvest this week, and then mix a heavy feed for the rest with a good dose of grow and flower, see if I can get those straightened out a little, save any of the frickin' green that might be back there... just by coincidence I set the long-bloomers in the back, so I've had the pleasure of more closely inspecting the front four plants... which happen to be the three jackberries and the herijuana.

I really can't wait to get into these now, dudes. That herijuana looks fucking good. I've heard a lot of people complain about the smell, but I think it smells great. It's like a rich coffee aroma. Earthy. Real nice. I bet it will only get better after cure.

My plan is to freezer cure some, and to go to jars with others. I don't have humidor pucks for my jars so I have to guess on humidity levels, which I sometimes find a little challenging to gauge. However, I plan to keep my head clear in the mornings so I can keep tabs on it without being altered at all. heh.

I have good faith in the freezer cure though, and I think I will put about half in each direction, for each strain.

Stay tuned, harvest inspection begins tomorrow...

Yooo, I burned my very first crop by mixing my soil and only letting it sit for two weeks befre I transplanted into.
If you pot into your mix to early, i'll continue to burn until the microbes have had time to do work, which would be another two weeks.
You might even have more experience than me and know what your up to, so if that's the case disregard my input lol. But if you've never done it before(only let a soil sit for two weeks before use) and got away with it, I would wait those extra couple of weeks.

Sometimes while your soil is cooking it can REALLY heat up, to the point you can feel the heat thru the container. I imagine roots roast at the times ha.
And ACTs will help jumpstart your microbe party, while means faster cooking time in theory.

Just my 2cents homie

Appreciate the inputs... since I am planning to transplant into something else for a bit I guess I can get away with going 4 weeks... I will hold off a little more and let them stay in the solo cups another week before I jump to the 1 gal's I guess, to slow growth down a little bit. Been getting some pretty cold temps too so they are puttering along in there under those CFL's. I can probably get away with it... in the mean time I might as well take advantage of the time and sprout three of the C99's too, haha.

Then I can just split all the soil amongst the six... probably will raise the autoflower with liquid nutrients in the 1 gal, unless she still looks like she's vegging when I go to do the other final transplants to the rich soil... in which case I'll go ahead and give her a new home too... dunno, never done an autoflower so I don't know what to expect...

didnt know they had perlite like that good info. :/ makes sense too.
I saw it in someone else's thread a month ago and i was like "nahhh I didn't do that" LOL... finally looked at the bag in the trash and was quite surprised to see I'd fallen for it too! It's written discreetly, and it looks like it's just perlite!

Sounds like a plan bro. Def. a good idea to give your soil the time to get right tho!
And check out the Bubblicious in my thread bro. It's an "autoflowering" Bubblicious from Nirvana and it literally did NOT autoflower pff....
It literally didn't start flowering until a week or two after I flipped it to 12/12, so IDK what to tell you to expect haha. You might get something that flowers around 21 days.
Be careful with the auto amongst photos too tho. They say auto should be kept under 18-24hrs og light at all times and that 12/12 hurts their yield.
I'm halfway thru my 8wk flowering period for my auto bub, so we'll see in 4wk just how bad my yeild was hurt because I've been growing it 12/12.

Theres a pic of someone elses auto bub on my page at day 56 and it's about done flowering. At day 56 I had just a few pistils lol. I'm at like day 75 with another 30 left...Same exact seed. That big of a diff. :joint:

Word... definitely appreciate your input on the cook time, as I am basically following in your footsteps! haha. I will give it the full four weeks for sure. I'm gonna have these two gigantic mixing tubs on my bedroom floor for the next month, lol. I also got a heater next to it to keep it warm and encourage initial growth this first week.

The plan works out so that the auto should be finishing around the time the others are ready to go to flower, if all works out! The plan was to keep them under 18-24 hrs. of light through harvest. We'll see how fast it flowers though, I could end up with trouble on my hands, lol. Depends on how the timing all works out. I can always grow her out solo in the mother chamber with more light if needed. :0]

And yeah, that is a huge difference! haha. I am going to mix up some more base mix today to transplant the auto ASAP. I'll let the strawberry coughs chill in the cups for another week though, to slow them down a little bit. Want to encourage the auto to take off as soon as possible!
