Yup you can. even at 12/12 they still seem to take about 5-6 weeks to show sex. I would do it in that window so you could veg, but if your not worried about it go for it. Once you get roots your golden.
I hope I'm misunderstanding, but you did not really mean to say that it takes a plant 5-6 weeks to show sex after flipping to 12-12. Did you really?

Oh, and for the OP, I have no problem taking cuttings up to a couple weeks into flowering. The ones I have now I took about 1.5 weeks in and already have roots showing on the cuttings (clones now I guess). I was actually hoping they would take longer to root since I wont have room to do anything with them for a few more weeks 
You can take clones from a plant at 12/12 if she hasn't been at that light schedule long. I figure I can take cuttings without waiting the extra month or so if I take them the first week at 12/12 After 7-10 she will start to actually flower and then you have the extra time to wait. Also, I've found that clone moms need to be at least 5 weeks in dirt themselves to give up viable clones.

Sorry brother I missed the "from start part", that's why I was pretty confident that it was my mistake, I totally agree with you now haha.
