just before I go to bed..Why are people so unwilling to believe a quite normal natural occurence on the basis that they havent heard of it? Apparently people believed the world was flat you know!!
that's why i would reserve my opinion. it is hard to believe that weediscool cat has any degree with the level of absolute ignorance he has displayed down to his adolescent, giggly-girl name. smoke somethin', bitch!

Who gives a shit...He was pointing it out because
someone questioned his knowledge.

Phsychology huh? Insightfull comment...Do you
talk to all of your patients like that.

Anyway, I don't doubt the fan leaf will take root.
Seeing it develop true internodes is another
story...We'll see...:blsmoke:
Definitely!! :joint:

im like 10% shitty that i didnt know about this method of cloning HOWEVER-

every site i googled about tissue cloning culture(3) said that you need "A very specialized laboratory is required for tissue culture. All the procedures are done in a laboratory and special ventilated cabinet that is as sterile as an operating room" and it takes 8 fuckign weeks to get a seedling from it.

surely a person with a degree in botony would know this.

chalk this up to another misinformed chob trying to spread incorrect information and try to look smart(SUPRISE)
let it go..hater

This thread has gotten way out of hand due to several close minded individuals who are self proclaimed specialists. Is this site not about growing, learning and sharing experiences? Why is it that when an intellligent individual posts a new and interesting technic, so many line up to discredit him? Personally I applaud the author for sharing his experiences and teaching us all something new. Why do you all doubt what you cannot comprehend and cannot see? When you all came to this site and posted your ideas, were YOU crucified for discussing different technics? Why not use this post to learn new methods and ask questions to expand your knowlege? For Christs sake get the hell off the guys back and feed your minds. Of coarse there are those who refuse to expand their world...I feel very sorry for your stupidity, but please do not ruin it for those of us who wish to benefit from what we do not know.
thank you (rep!)

the thing is, if there were a method of getting thick stalked rooted clones from fan leaves after a week, that is what people would be doing. i browse quite a few sites similar to this one and havent even heard of tissue cloning culture. its not because its not possible to do with a marijuana plant, but because it takes 8x longer to achive the same results. guess what. by the time your tissue cultured plants are rooted and rdy to start veg my mothers have already forgotton about the clones i took 8 weeks ago and are ready for me to take a 2nd batch of clones.

of course now hes saying that his cloning method ISNT tissue cloning culture, yet fails to reveal the correct name for his technique. HAY MR DEGREE IN BOTONOY CAN YOU PLEASE ENLIGHTEN US ON WHAT THIS MYSTERIOUS TECHNIQUE IS CALLED? surely it has a name just like every other cloning technique in botony. surely if this is such a superior way to clone there can be infomation us people without degrees in botony can find via interwebz so we dont have to wait for you to 'find a camera'. This entire arguement could be solved by simply saying 'google <insert fictional name for cloning method that doesnt exist> noobs, youre welcome'.

btw mr botonist, is buisness slow? i mean i make like 26k a year, have no degree in anything, own a house ectect, yet have like 4 digital cameras laying around not including cellphone cameras. why oh why are the people who do miraculous unheardof things the only ones in the world without cameras!!
then take your extra hefty 26k and by a life, personality, or even a thread of your own so i don't have to continue to sift through your demonstration of issues. get the fuck on!

wow 26k a year i'm impressed - Ignorance is bliss and will remain so for you. I am not obliged to give morons like yourself any information url's or otherwise, I have never mentioned 'superior' methods only alternate methods with valid reasoning behind them. To clarify my grammatical error I said you could have stocky clones that would root in a week, meaning obviously that they would root in a week and become stocky!
I am also not a botanist I am retired and I'm not even forty so go swivel on the old ignorance stick. This year I've started a degree in Medieval history so if you want to know any techniques on how to deal with heretics I'm your man!! PS Why do you think there is a corrolation between earnings and camera ownership? I have never owned a camera or a mobile phone that takes pictures.
seriously, he has displayed his level. let him fade away.

Wow some of you feller's are pretty closed minded and harsh I thought one of the main reasons for smoking ganga was to expand the mind. I have cloned a leaf in the past did it sprout new plants as the OP sugested no but it did root.

Wow, I don't know whether it is really worth it because I don't have a pic. Really wish I did. I use peat plugs to clone and I occasionally stick the clone far enough in for a fan leaf to be touching the surface. On SEVERAL occasions roots have sprouted out of the leaf and into the peat surface. This being said, I don't see how you would get new green growth. My rooted leaves were all still attached to a bigger clone so they continued to grow but I always understood that if you don't have a growth site then it's all over. The few times I've lost clones is because the strain took a long time to root and the growth sites rotted. So a leaf can root, that much I will verify. But this being a valid method is still in doubt because I can't believe that it would take the same time to start growing as a normal clone if it even grows at all.

hey if it can b done then it seems like it must be very difficult so why would you even bother even if you could.

Unsubscribed.. (Not because the details of the process don't intrigue me, just because the thread is swamped with hostile, feeble minds..)

Hi All.
Yes absolutely you can, this is infact a reasonable way of working, depending on how your growing, (this way is very suited if you cannot move your plants once you've started to flower them, and need 100% guaranteed fems).
I have a Sensi shiva shanti at the mo that is just starting to re veg. was a gift off of a freind.
The new leaves can look a bit whorly, and spasmo, but will eventually sort itself out.
OH to get back on topic, leaf cloning is a well known technique, (can't believe so many supposedly knowledgable folk have never heard of it). But as a few have said I doubt it would work with weed, (probs the reason we don't hear of it much on these kind of forum), I'm not saying it WON'T work at all, just that it would take too long, and in the time it would take to get a small leaf clone going, one could have taken a normal stem and leaf cutting, have it rooted, vegged a short while and be ready for another generation of cuttings off of it.
An interesting thought though M8, if one could get it to work, just a leaf purloined from wherever could have you a new strain in your bank, but I'd imagine patience would be needed.
Would be wonderfull to see plantlets starting from the vein cuts wouldn't it?
BTW I may be mistaken but i'm sure I remember seeing this done with Begonias.

What the Fuck has happened to the persuit of knowledge???

all the bs aside it works well big clones dont root well due to tissue structure in mature stems listen to the botanist...stupid people amaze me theres lots of plants harder to grow than weed its a.....weed it will grow in clay with no water for god sake relax and smoke a green one:)
