Cloning from Fan Leaves

In theory that should work, but I think soil beasties would claim it before success.. The culture method adds sterility to the game since it can take so long to undifferentiate non-meristematic tissue..

If I remove all fan leaves from the plant at any stage of its life, but specifically a month into vegging will it shock or impair growth to my girl?

I saw an outdoor grow where critters had chewed the base of a few stalks causing the plants to topple mid way into veg, and the old man left them to do their thing.. Anyways, branches that were just resting on moist ground ended up growing roots and in the end he had mutants that were kind of half way between one plant, and two or more plants.. Kind of like a tall sog with stalk connecting each plant.. Who would have ever thought rabbits or whatever could actually help to increase your yield..:) Strawberries clone themselves in a similar manner by growing crawlers than bust roots from a branch as a means of multiplying..

is this what is being perposed or at the base of the leaf next to the stalk.....just what will happen if we put some rooting compound on it and set it in the e-z cloner?:eyesmoke:

Really? Really? ...................Really, guys this thread is still here. Everybody knows that you can't make a booger talk, it is just a myth. Canned food does not make you fat, because it takes too much work to open the can. What I'm trying to say is........*The moon and I are walking down the isle, when a pineapple catches my eye* I can make a booger talk I sang.

All plant cells 'can' be redifferentiated.. Feasible success is the question.. Might be a good idea to apply some tissue culture cloning principles since it can take a huge amount of time with certain older cells..
24 pages no pics of his magic leaf weed. I'm no botanist but me thinks we been had.
I wonder if you could clone a leaf by air layering it on soil for a month or 2 then once roots form, cut it off and plant it.

has anyone ever put a branch of the plant in soil and got it to make its own roots from the tip ?

ARE YOU ALL SMOKING CRACK??????
oR WHAT?

i am kind of tripping this topic is still breathing. the problem with this topic is that the op claims falsely he can clone a fan leaf.
in the traditional sense is is completely blowing smoke up your asses. the claim ( been a while sense i read it was that he notches the back of the leaf and it roots to soil?? bullshit not happening.
the closest thing to this happening would be tissue culture yes you can do it this way but that is not what the guy said and allot of people went to allot of trouble wasting time

i am looking into what medium is used and once i identify it ill be giving it a try.

GrowTech

stays relevant.
A leaf does not have a node for new growth... Leafs also do not grow stems, stems grow leaves. Don't bother bumping this thread, Woomeister will never be able to produce evidence that this is possible with cannabis.

End of story.

Want to explain why fan-leaf tissue cannot be cloned when all other plant tussue can then?

I'm saying its possible, not necessatily feasible..

just before I go to bed..Why are people so unwilling to believe a quite normal natural occurence on the basis that they havent heard of it? Apparently people believed the world was flat you know!!
because there smart ass bastards and if they haven't heard of it it must be wrong 90% of the idiots on hear have never seen a weed plant never mind growing one I'm gonna give it a bash tizz only a bit of clonex and a root riot plug thing

Im no botanist but he is definitly correct! I have a plant in my backyard not sure what its called, It flowers late (fall) and has tiny purple flowers, but you can rip off a leaf and stick it in the dirt and it will root and grow a second plant. I have done this several times for neighbors. my .02. I would like to see pics too, never heard of this w/ MJ.

Sorry all posted this prematurely! Page 8 or 9. I think with the right growth hormones this could happen, just like born2kill says. I heard my biology teacher say his wife and him go to home depot and she takes a small cutting from a plant she likes there, brings it home, puts it in hormones and grows a new plant. Why couldnt you do it with the right growth hormones?

If it does work, cool! But why would you do that when you could take a cutting with nodes that will develop quicker? Thats like starting a fire with two sticks when you got a lighter in your pocket??? Doesn't make sense.

I've had a plant grow some nugs along the stem of a fan leaf up to where the blades started. This tripped me out. But it proves shit can grow there. (sorry no pics)

I did some research and found that certain strains will do this. In the Mandala web-site they talk about this as well as new sets of leaves, coming out in 3's instead of opposite sides. (got that pic)

If this is true, how long does it take to grow out 3 sets of nodes?
:peace::joint::peace:
i had a plant that had 3 sets of nodes it was a nemesis from seedsman seeds. i asked a question about it and no one knew what the fuck i was talking about.

HA ! and I thought I was the only one that snagged and occasional start from a greenhouse.
