Clones with new 3 blade leaves? (no light issues or changes) WTF?!

So I've been taking clones for a few years with great success.. Until recently..

I took some cuts of Gorilla Breath and everything was going fine until I noticed the top growth was throwing 3 blade leaves out? The plants were under 18/6 lighting and there have been no issues with the timer (digital light controller) or anything like that.. All the other plants are fine that have been right next to them..

Temps have been steadily 70-75 °F and lighting was T5 6500k 4 bulb fixture about 6 inches away from tops. (Recently learned that is not close enough)

They were taken from a VEG plant under the same 18/6 controller.

I've been cloning the same plant since 2019 idk why it did this all the sudden.. :\ I hope its reversible cause this cut is special to me. Now I'm scared it has "monster cropped"

3 point leaves are typically caused by some type of stress, good or bad.

From the info provided, it's not caused by any of the common stressors.

Did you lower your light by any chance recently? I've never grown under t5's so not sure how bright a 4bulb fixture 6" away is but I do know light intensity or heat at the canopy can cause 3 point leaves. When you put your hand under that t5 is it hot? Your original post made it sound like you may have lowered your light fixture recently... I lowered my lights and the clones have gone back to normal. I think when they were in the clone tray maybe the dome got too humid and blocked enough light to make them reveg? I legit have not had this happen in 3 years and it suddenly happened. I'm going to take some new cuts off the plant that are showing 5 blades and hopefully it doesn't reoccur.. I really want to grow this cut out again I've had it for almost 4 years. I hope it's not degrading or something, that's the only thing my buddy said is sometimes cuts will start to show weird shit after a while but he said it should be fixable cause he has been running GG4 for like 9 years the same cut with no changes other than the usual offset node spacing you can expect from clones.

New growth will be 5 or 7 point leaves once you figure out the stress issue. It'll come right back.. Whenever I've had that happen it's always been nutrient related (PH, medium EC high, ect)

I had a Death Bubba cut that would throw 3 point leaves from time to time. Always cause by some type of stress but always worked itself out by late veg. If the plant is healthy and the other cuts in your room are happy I'd just wait it out and see if it progresses. If it doesn't continue I'd say those plants are fine and will be fine going into flower.

I sure damn hope so! Should I still bloom the plants that threw weird leaves & start fresh cuts or you think it's worth running the ones that have recovered?

That answers my question i asked @UpstateRecGrower I'm going to run them. I have a cycle going right now of 12 plants per 5 x 20' row each having double layer 6" netting and 4 x 1000w DE HPS over top. Hoping I can move these 4 out in the next month and not face any Losses.

There are 12 Creamsicle in 10 gallons in my VEG. They'll be moving out to Bay 1 then in a few weeks I'll be moving the Gorilla Breath to Bay 2. The plants in the pic still have a few weeks to go before they move.
